The leaks are still occuring. Yes there is a 10 year warrenty on repairs, but I'm getting tired of keeping buckets out and having to call after major rain and finding leaks. the roof I am refering to is about 2 hours from Nashville so getting timely responses have been frustrating and having to make the calls when my calls are not returned are getting frustrating. There is evidently another process they offer to detect leaks, but they have not done it yet, I am having to ask for that process to be done. Seems there aren't enough people in the company that know enough about it, so I will have to wait until they can get the one person familiar with the process to come do it.

Yes I said I would hire them again only because they have been "nice" and I feel this is an isolated incident. But my patience, which I have had plenty of, is now running thin. We are working on a year now since the repair was done."

"I had used this same company on my previous roofing work and in spite of a few minor difficulties, was very pleased with the result. For this reason I decided to ask Lewis & Son to do this roofing job, which was considerably more involved than the last.  This time there were no difficulties associated with the job and I am absolutely enthralled with every aspect of the work done and the final results.
Shane Lewis made an appointment with me for the next morning after I called for an estimate.  He arrived on time and came into the house to sit down and find out just what my needs were.  I found him to be very personable and during our conversation he made several very helpful suggestions and educated me on several factors I should consider when doing a job of this scope.  He then climbed up on the roof, walked over the entire roof examining it and taking measurements.  When he had finished the exterior examination, he advised me of his findings and we negotiated a price for the job.  We wrote up a contract for the job and I gave him a check for 50% of the job as a down-payment.  Had I not known Shane and his company from a prior experience with the company I would have been uncomfortable with this, but my previous experience had shown the company to be reliable and trustworthy.  Since we were going to be delayed in starting the job, Shane had his roofing foreman come to our house that same day and make temporary repairs to a leak we had so that our interior ceilings would not suffer further damage.
We were dealing with an unusually wet, cold, and even snowy stretch of weather while we were scheduling the job. Throughout this period, Shane maintained excellent communications with me in order to find a time that would be adequately dry and warm,  in which to accomplish the job, and would also be convenient for me. I sincerely appreciated his maintaining such good communications with me throughout this process.
On the appointed day his roofing foreman and crew arrived at 8:00 AM with all their equipment and needed materials.  l was pleased to see that the equipment although not new was in an excellent state of repairs.  The roofing foreman, Paco, introduced himself and then began directing his crew about where to locate the tools and materials.  As this was going on, Shane Lewis showed up and saw that everything was going smoothly.  As soon as everything was in place, the crew began the job.  They worked until 1:00 PM and then ate lunch on the site.  After lunch they worked straight through until it was too dark to see.  They made sure the roof was adequately covered in the event of unexpected rain and then left about 6:30 PM after advising me that they would back at 7:30 AM.
The next morning the roofing foreman and crew arrived right on time and began work.  They proceeded meticulously and quickly until the job was finished about 5:00 PM. Shane Lewis came by during the late morning to ask me if I was satisfied with the way the job was going and again about 5:00 PM as they were finishing the job.  Shane again got up on the roof and personally inspected the work.  As the roofing crew finished a couple of odds and ends on the job and cleaned up all the mess that had been made,  I went inside and got the final payment check and gave it to Shane.  A short time later everyone vanished as quickly as they had shown up the day the job started and not a hint remained that our home had just been reroofed.  Their clean-up was extremely thorough and not a scrap remained.  I stood out in the road and looked at my new roof feeling very pleased and confident that I could not have found a better company to do the work.

"With the job complete we now have a new roof that shows pride in workmanship; the chimney brick has been cleaned and resealed; and the chimney flashing resealed and repainted. Mike Beck gets an A+++ as the operations manager. His customer service goes above and beyond. He kept us informed of his intentions each day and gave us numerous courtesy calls. Mike and the owner, Mr. Fitzgerald, operate with utmost integrity following through with their word. The cost of the job exactly matched the estimate as Mike said that it would.
The roofing part of the job was completed in 2 1/2 days. The workers were slowed down one of the days because of extreme heat. Mike often checked on his crew. In the meantime, his lead man kept the job progressing nicely. The crew was comprised of “Good ‘Ol Boys” from Alabama. When the job was complete, the area was cleaned up and nicely swept.
When we discovered that the shingles we selected did not have ridge cap shingles comparable to what we currently had (3 layers of asphalt), Mike went to great lengths to find a match in another brand. Ultimately, it didn’t exist, but he came up with a compromise that in the end looked very nice.
We had originally requested ridge vents, but when calculating the amount of air flow needed for the size of our house, Mike determined that we were borderline on having enough ridge line to meet the requirement. So, the existing power vents were instead replaced with new ones.
While wiring the power vents in the attic, Mike lost his footing and stepped through the sheetrock putting a hole in our living room ceiling. He was quite dismayed having never done such a thing before. (This prompted us to improve the walkway in the attic). He immediately called Mr. Fitzgerald and scheduled the ceiling repair for the next workday.
Mr. Fitzgerald and his son not only restored the ceiling to its like original state amazingly matching the popcorn ceiling texture, but they blessed us with additional sheetrock repairs. These guys know what they are doing when it comes to sheetrocking. They do an outstanding job taping and mudding sheetrock. They taped and mudded 5 cracks in our sheetrock and retaped and mudded a previous botched job by a different contractor. They were careful to enclose in plastic the area being repaired and to protect the floor with a covering. They vacuumed and cleaned up the work site afterwards. They did all this work for free as a favor to compensate for the inconvenience.
Mr. Fitzgerald and his son also replaced a piece of metal siding near one of the eaves and they were very precise in refitting the piece.
Mike power washed our chimney and let it dry properly before resealing it with Thomson’s Water Seal. He volunteered to repaint the flashing around the chimney to match the new power vent covers.
