Very Professional company.. Company rep came out and measured for sizing. He explained to me my options and efficiency ratings compared to costs. The unit was installed as promised and on time. Very neat and organized job. When trim out time came, technician came in with boot covers on his shoes and cleaned up every scrap of garbage left over from job. He actually cleaned up a mess that I had made the night before trimming out my windows. Overall...... GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

After the unit had been in and running all summer long and the nights had started cooling off. I had a small problem with the thermostat. I called Yoder' s on a Saturday morning and within 45 minutes had a technician at my house to fix the problem. He was there approximately 30 minutes and had the unit running as designed. He also completed a scheduled service while he was at my home.

A+++  Company!

"Everything went very well. They were very thorough and professional. They removed all of the materials (sheetrock, tile, insulation, etc.) that had been affected with the mold themselves. They did not leave it for me to clean up. The area was treated for mold and we were able to return to the home that evening."

"Glen called before he arrived, to clarify my address and let me know he was on the way. He arrived on Monday morning as planned and evaluated 2 deep freezes that were not working. He determined that one freezer was not working due to squirrels chewing the wires in two and building a nest around the freezer compressor. He checked the compressor, replaced several wires & other electrical components, and cleaned out the squirrel nest. This is an older freezer that we purchased in the late 1990's. He had the parts and wires on his truck so he was able to perform the repairs that day. Before he left he used his spray foam and my steel wool "scrubber" to close up the hole where the squirrels had gotten into the back of the freezer, so hopefully this will prevent the problem from recurring.

The second freezer had been working when it was given to us, but had not worked since it was moved. Glen explained that during the move to our house, the weld that someone had done to repair this freezer, before we obtained it, had developed a leak where a copper line had been welded onto a steel line. This had resulted in all the freon leaking out of it. The joint was so weak that it fell apart while we were looking at it. Glen said he could repair this freezer for about $300. He said he would have to reconnect the lines, replace the older freon it uses, and then test the system to make sure it was working properly. After we discussed the situation and the cost of the repair, it was decided that we did not want to repair this older model freezer, since he had been able to repair my original freezer.

Glen completed all the work in about an hour. He emailed me a receipt for my payment before he left. He was polite, courteous, and professional. He said he owns the 8 year old business. I would recommend him and would hire him again.

Job was done on the date promised, in the time span estimated and at the price quoted. The two man team properly braced the porch roof before tearing the old column out. They built the new column on site. The team removed all tear down debris as well as the trash from the construction phase (a really big plus in my book since I have had other contractors leave their trash for me to clean up.) The contractor asked for a deposit before they began and the balance after the work was completed. I marked them down on punctuality since they told me that they would be here at 9:00 but it was 90 minutes later before they arrived and another 30 minutes before they started work. As I said above, the work completion was promised for the end of the day and they met that.

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Purvis, MS

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
