"I have work with Susan on multiple projects for 10 years now and I couldn't be happier with her and her crew. This year I asked them to replace nearly all the windows on the house. Susan made great recommendation and picked out the windows, so I didn't have to do a lot of shopping around. They showed up on time and cleaned up after the work. The crew members are trust-worthy which is great for a busy professional like myself. I left the house to them in the morning and went on with my day. They locked it up at the end of the day, cleaned up construction related mess so when I got home it was as if nothing had happened, except for all the brand new windows on the wall!!! There were some minor issues with a few windows, but when I pointed them out, they fixed them right away. House repair and remodeling could be very stressful but they really made it easy, from the initial consultation to the work completion, I never have to worry about a thing, that's why I alway go with them."

"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I had asked them to power wash and stain my deck. I wanted a semi-transparent stain. Tyson told me they recommend full cover. I don’t like full cover. I gave him a gallon of the stain I wanted to use, which was from Home Depot. I even told him to go to Home Depot and use my telephone number to bring up the stain I had purchased. 1. He got stain from Sherwin Williams and it was full cover and was not redwood. It is brown. 2. They got stain on the house siding, and the metal balusters. 3. The stain was applied unevenly. When I told Tyson all this and included pictures, he responded with wow. I also told him it was the wrong stain and he didn’t say anything. I had to have them come back several times, because they did not do all the touchup (it was too late for dealing with the wrong stain). When they tried to remove the stain from the side of the house they made a worse stain. Tyson did get a good match and painted over where the stain was on the side of the house. However, there was still touching up to be done. They also got stain on my flagstone walkway and all over the pool equipment piping. They did not put things back onto the deck. When I told him, he came and started putting the things in the yard back. I told Tyson I was not going to pay him $1,000. He said he would come down to $850. I told him I would offer him $500.00. He accepted. However, he walked off the job without doing the remaining touchups, or putting everything back onto the deck. I did not see this until I got back to the house and after I had paid him. I immediately filed a claim with PayPal to get $250 back from the $500. I have to live with the wrong stain and color until I can figure out how to remove it and start over."

She had decided to make our home a happier place by learning to paint faux finishes through our home like marbled ceilings and a brick painted patio. Then the neighbors wanted them, their friends and so forth. The name "Express Yourself Paint" came from customer's expressing their unique character through faux finishes. We started out in an eight-foot utility trailer with the forty-foot ladders hanging out to infinity with red flags tied to them and a used spray gun. We looked more like the Red Neck Painters of Raleigh. Thanks to all those trusting souls who allowed us to paint for them in those early days! We came from humble beginnings, but we wanted to create a different kind of painting company. A company that is high performance, uses modern technology for communicating and scheduling making for a more satisfied customer experience while still applying paint the old fashion way...brushes, rollers and sprayers. Our desire to be different has resulted in us becoming the largest and most successful repaint company in the Triangle.
