"Jeff was terrific! Really thoughtful about the project. He was prompt, no nonsense, hard working, very skilled, reasonably priced, and wonderful to work with. He listened carefully to what I wanted, made good suggestions and gave me exactly what I needed on time in budget no drama. No that’s a great contractor experience!. Absolutely recommend for any concrete project."

"The guys were supposed to be at the house at 8:00. At 7:20, Jordan called and said they needed to make a stop and would be ten minutes late. I thought it was very profssional to stay in contact like that. At exactly 8:10, they rolled into the driveway. What timing! The work was done quickly and at a reasonable price. I am very pleased. I would definitely hire them again"

"<p>We had been left in a bind with another company with both the delivery and placement of a rock water fountain we had purchased, things were not going well and we were not happy.  </p> <p>After speaking to The Rock Placing Company about our situation they came through like a champ for us!!  They went and picked it up from where we had purchased it and upon arrival at our home had it set within minutes, friendly awesome and professional employees!!  </p> <p>We feel like they went out of their way to help us finish up something we'd been dreaming of installing for years when the bottom fell out elsewhere.  </p> <br />"

"First of all, very responsive and quick to get someone out to look at property. Unfortunately, they did that when I wasn't here, so they 1) couldn't find out what my budget was and 2) if they came in on the high side (which they did) - I didn't have an opportunity to see if there were other options v. a "one size fits all" sort of deal. So, didn't go with them - just due to price and lack of tailoring to my needs. Doesn't mean I wouldn't consider their services for lawn care down the road. Just not for tree/shrub spraying!"

"Have used Alderwood twice on large backyard living space projects and recommend them highly. First, they take the time to work with you on a design (they have designers on staff) that incorporates all elements, provide you with material samples, pictures, etc. When we struggled to make decisions they took us “shopping” to see samples (light fixtures, paver types, etc) and helped us visualize. We’ve been really impressed by this process. The construction crews are highly professional. They are thoughtful and careful with neighbors when dealing with moving equipment in and out, noise, and those kinds of things. They are great communicators and set really good expectations about project length and other details. When we asked for tweaks or changes midstream there was never any grousing or grumbling - they were very focused on making sure we were 100% happy. The guys are our crew were Colin, Max and Michael, and Patrick was the Construction Manager. In both cases, the finished projects were even more stunning than we expected. Top notch."

"I called Jerry to inquire into residential snow removal and he was able to come out later that same day to assess the property, and then clear the driveway the next day. He was extremely responsive, professional, and friendly, and he did a great job clearing the snow from our long gravel driveway. We will be using him again."

"I am known to be a very picky A-Hole when it comes to selecting a business to do work for me. With that said, I am very happy with how professional and respectful the gentlemen were that did the work. I am not easy to please and they were able to do so greatly. The desk receptionist was awesome at getting them scheduled for me and they showed up when they were supposed to. All around great experience when you don't always get that."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Rathdrum, ID

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
