His crew was great, very hard workers and kept up the good work through out the 3 days our project took. Even when surprised by an underground concrete slab, Tracy didn't miss a beat, and got back out the next day to face the problem and finish the work. "Brian and his crew did an OUTSTANDING job revitalizing & updating an old retaining wall and adding a beautiful new wood fence. Due to the rain & extreme heat we had, the project ran a little late in completing. But we were in no rush! The communication was wonderful, Brian helped with picking out materials & colors, and was even OK with us adding on a few extras. They were very careful around my lilies and lilac tree, which was a HUGE plus for me. We even had neighbors who asked for quotes! Very, very pleased with the whole experience with them, and will hire them again for the next project!"

"We are so happy with our new patio! The Foundation1 hardscape team was an absolute pleasure to work with the entire time. John was extremely responsive to all of my questions and concerns throughout the design process. Once they were able to get started, they worked extremely quickly, in the hottest week of the year. They had to dig out and replace our wall/patio completely by hand because our house is raised and getting equipment back there is not feasible. And yet, they worked so efficiently, they made the job seem easy - and it definitely was not! They were also extremely thorough! And were very willing to help me out in small side projects that we added on as we went. Even after the main project was completed, they came back to tackle the tuck-pointing because they didn't want to rush it. They even came back on two separate occasions when I was concerned about the drainage on small spots on the patio. They take a lot of pride in their work and want to make sure their customers are happy. I would definitely hire them again (although they did such a great job, I don't think I'll need another patio for 50+ years.)"

His team was very professional, was on time and came up with some other ideas. A neighbor, who had the same problem, hired them to do their work and to do other landscaping. They do all kinds of landscaping. Would highly recommend them."

"Jim and the team were one of the only companies who actually showed up to bid, got back to use quickly and subsequently came to do the work. We had them repoint a number of areas around our home as well as sure up the footing on our brick entryway which was the main point of concern. While here they noticed the concrete cap on our chimney needed replacing and we went ahead and had them do that too. 90% of the work performed has been great, but we are 12 months on now from the initial work and the entryway continues to shift and overall break the repointing work Jim's team did. To their credit, they've been back out twice to repoint again, the first time after 6 weeks when it broke, then the work lasted about 4 months until it broke again. They didn't come back out again until several months after that and this last repair unfortunately didn't last more than a week. The repointing itself was great, it matched the color of grout on our historic home fairly well. The issue and reason for the lower star rating is that unfortunately whatever foundation work may have been done by the team did not resolve the foundation problems the entryway has and we are back on the hunt for a new company who can actually help us fix our problem."

"In 2013 I was out of town on a trip. My wife called in a panic because water was coming in through a crack in the basement wall. We had lived in the house for 20 years with no issues. Recently we had new sidewalks poured which disrupted the water flow from the house. This caused water to seep back into the foundation. The Leaky Cellar came the next day and provided a fair estimate and repaired. When I returned home I was very pleased with the work, timeliness, and price they charged. A less reputable company could have taken advantage of the situation. Recently we had the annoying water seepage in our stone foundation. The Leaky Cellar proposed various options to address the situation. They recently installed interior drains. The men were very professional and answered all my questions. For a messy job, they left the basement in good shape. I was very pleased with the work, price, and professionalism. I would recommend them to a friend."
