Design fee will be credited toward project cost upon customer commitment. We request a deposit of 35% prior to job start. Balance is due upon project completion. Subcontracting is rare. The owner, foreman and designer all have undergraduate degrees in the study of trees and/or landscape design & construction.

Shan-Gri-La Sod Farm is family-owned and operated that started in 1939 as a poultry farm in Willow Grove, PA by my Grandfather Dewey H. Bunch, Sr. In 1967 my father, Dewey H. Bunch, Jr., purchased our farm in beautiful Bucks County, PA and began growing sod. My brother, sisters, and I all worked side by side in the fields with my mother and father learning about the importance of family and hard work, as well as the commitment required to establish and maintain a successful small family business. In 1990 I began the landscape construction division to satisfy customers wanting to deal with one qualified contractor for all of their outdoor needs. We are E.P. Henry authorized paver installers and have had photos of our projects in their catalog each year since 2005. The design would be accompanied by a preliminary proposal with cost analysis based on a projected budget given by homeowner. The cost of the design, if needed, would be determined by the size of the project and amount of time spent on the design. All design fees are rebated back to client when project is contracted for installation. .
