Small jobs welcome

"Adam and his team did an amazing job on completing a backyard fence for my family. He was hardworking and detailed with the work. Kept me updated through every step of the way from the permit process, ordering materials and check-ins as the build was happening. Our fence is great! He also completed a custom railing and gate to attach to our existing deck. Will definitely be using we do it all again for future projects. "

"Glenn was great to work with. He first painted 2 rooms. One had very high ceilings and was a very dark color. He was very fast with both rooms. Then he sanded and refinished wood floors on 2 levels. I wish I had before pictures. The floors had been nearly destroyed by the previous owners dogs. I didn't have too much hope for them, but they look nearly new. Glenn kept us updated with his progress, left the house very clean, and the floors look great. We plan on hiring him again for future projects."

"Steve did an excellent job and was great to work with from start to finish. He returned our first call promptly, visited on the weekend, returned an estimate by email, and was at work within a week. He worked efficiently and carefully. The outcome is absolutely gorgeous, and at the price agreed. He was very nice to work with. We recommend him strongly and plan to hire him again for a bigger job. <br />"

"R&R did exactly what they said they'd do exactly when they said they would do it and for exactly the price agreed upon. Can't ask for more than that. They said they would do an excellent job and they did. <br />"

"They were fine. Jonathan Mayo is the proprietor. He was prompt and he was polite. He did just what he said he would. I would certainly call him again. He was a very nice person. It went beautifully. He arrived promptly at 9 when he said he would. He climbed right up on the roof. He brought shingles because my roof is too old to get the same shingles. He had some similar ones. It took him about an hour and that was it. He came down and left. I was very very pleased. The only thing was that I was thinking about things to do to make the house look good to sell it in a few years. Being a businessman, he asked me if I had considered aluminum siding because that would spruce up the house. You would expect an exteriors person to say that. Of course I don't want aluminum siding because I have got a nice wood clapboard house. That was the only thing that he suggested and my house doesn't need it. Aside from that, the job was wonderful. His work was wonderful. I would not even take that as a prompt because you would expect somebody to recommend other things that they do. He does a lot of things. His card said roofing, siding, decking, windows, skylight repair, chimneys, and roof shoveling. He pretty much does it all for the exterior of a house. I was very pleased with the price. I had nothing else to compare it with. I didn't even bother asking anybody else."

"We had a fairly complicated paint project with 5 different colors on a shake-sided house with lots of trim.  The body was one color, the trim was another, the doors & tips of the rafters another color, some of the porch was a fourth color and the foundation was a fifth.  Many painters would throw up their hands and refuse to do it or charge a fortune for the changes.  Eugene calmly handled the challenges and his crew did an incredibly careful job - beautifully neat, not cutting corners to save time.  There is not a drip to be found.  They were careful not to paint when the humidity was too high. Their prep work - which everyone says is a key to a good paint job - was also thorough and neat.  They took extra time to prime both the new shakes and also the older, more worn ones.  Windows that needed new glazing, got it, without my asking - they even washed them!   <br /> We have two dogs who came to look forward to Eugene and company's visits and treats every day.  Delta Resource Painting found a bird's nest with eggs under an eave and they gently moved it and put it back when they were done - and the birds are all doing OK. <br /> The house looks great - we're getting compliments from neighbors, and I expect that the job will last a long time. <br />"

"He had to don a special uniform because our house was painted with lead paint in the past.  People who drove by our house actually pulled in and asked who he was because he was doing such a great job that they wanted to get in touch with him.  He is extremely helpful and he has a lot of knowledge that other painters might not have.  He was recommended to me by a paint store out by where he is.  The other people I spoke to didn’t want to touch it because of the lead paint and the new laws that have been passed."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Reading, VT

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
