We did this knowing that they were a higher price because of the hard sell commitment that our timeline could be maintained. - No communication for a month after they got our deposit - multiple follow up communication from me, asking for timing updates, etc. without any response - missed both of our initial milestone deadlines without comment or commitment to a timeline - finally get engagement after calling the construction manager directly and threatening to pull the project Our experience from the point of project start through completion was very good. the work was professional, the team was knowledgeable and responsive and the finished product is AWESOME. The overall story, Project Team set up to fail by their sales team, compounded by a complete lack of organization and communication internally, tainted our experience of what otherwise should have been a pretty cool time in our home improvement lives. "This was my second time to use Sanchez & Sons. The first was to remove a massive Arizona ash tree from my front yard which they did a couple of years ago. They were reasonably priced, and did a terrific job then, so I hired them again to do a major pruning of my large live oak in the back yard. The work went very smoothly and everything we discussed was done perfectly. Cleanup and respect for the property were also done well. I will gladly bring them back in the future for tree services."

"We talked with a few contractors to extend an existing rear porch and landscape our rear yard.  We started with a pretty good idea of what we wanted, but still needed expert advice.  Spicewood wasn't the least expensive, but they seemed to have the best understanding of what we wanted and offered a complete package.  We had a design in mind when we started and Spicewood seemed to have a good understanding of our desires.  The price was reasonable and we were able to get the plants and grass at wholesale cost.  We were extremely pleased with the flagstone porch.  It looks great and exactly what we wanted.  They did have to come back and re-caulk the area between the flagstone and the side of the house, but responsiveness on this issue was good.  The guy who did the sprinklers did a very good job and explained how the system worked better than the builder's explanation when we moved in.  He had to come back to adjust and replace one of the sprinkler heads, but he was also very responsive.  We thought we had a good deal on the landscaping and we did from a cost perspective, but we could have used better landscaping advice.  Their landscaper's suggestions didn't come close to our expectations and we could have used more advice on chosing plants and trees.  He pretty much left it up to us to decide.  It turns out we have a heavy clay ground that doesn't drain well and the flower beds and the area under the grass wasn't prepared correctly.  We've had to go back and redo a couple of the flower beds to save a tree and some plants.  Come spring, we'll have to see how the rest of the landscape survives. <br />"
