Select Landscaping is proud to provide full service landscape & drainage installation with experience in North Texas since 2014. We treat every project as if it was our own with the standard that we would be able to showcase and enjoy with friends and family for years to come.
"I contracted Select Landscaping to sod my backyard as well as do some stone work (stone edging around flower bed and tree ring). Everything was transparent and went well. The owner, Derek, is friendly and courteous. The day of the work went well. His crew did a great job on the sod install. The flower bed and tree ring looked great. However, I had noticed that the tree ring and flower bed edging were missing those drainage holes that should be drilled into them and lined with PVC piping to allow proper drainage. When I mentioned it to Derek he was apologetic and said he would fix it. We were also discussing how the sprinkler system should be modified to change the spread of the sprinkler heads to better cover the yard. He mentioned that they also do sprinkler servicing. I agreed to the price he said would do that job for and we agreed he could come out to handle the sprinkler and then fix the drainage on stone edging at the same time sometime in the future since this was getting to be very late in the day. I will explained that I was going to be out of town for a week or so and we could schedule it for when I got back. After I returned from the trip I reached out and we scheduled a time to do the sprinklers. However storms ended up coming in and preventing it from happening. We then communicated several more times and he would give vague timeframes like “late next week” as a possibility. However every time it got closer to “late next week” something would usually come up like bad weather and he would ask to delay it again. Now the last 2-3 times I’ve contacted him he would give a more specific date and then not contact me again as the date got closer. One of those times he mentioned having a family issue arise and he was unable to do it as a result (to which I was sympathetic and fine with). However, we scheduled again since then and he once again did not show up. And when followed up via text he doesn’t respond. I have 6 texts over 4 days and none have been answered. 2 were direct responses to a question he asked, then one was to confirm that he was coming later that day. Then another asking if the day after since he never showed. Then another 2 just asking what happened and when we can reschedule. One thing to note is that I get “read” receipts on my messages and it shows that they have been read. At any rate. The initial install was great, albeit missing drainage on the flower bed and tree ring. But the follow up has been pretty bad."

This is the hardscape or ‘bones’ referred to in garden literature. Be it a simple graveled path, a grouping of boulders, or obedient deference to existing topography, this is what will provide year-round interest. It is also the framework that will suggest and therefore help you choose which plants and their placement. The end result is an aesthetic and harmonious integration of hardscape and softscape elements. The Walkabout Way acknowledges the on-site environmental realities (ecozone, drainage, sun, shade etc..) and integrating these along with the clients desired outside intentions (active/passive use) as the basis for formulating a design theme. "This project went very well. I needed new sod in my front yard. I contacted Green Stone Landscaping to get a bid and was given a date and time for a survey. Gerardo came to my home to survey the job and I found him to be very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He advised me as to how he would go about the prep work of the yard and sod installation. I found his bid to be competitive and contacted his office a couple of days later to proceed with the job. Gerardo was able to schedule the job the following week. He and his crew arrived as he told me and completed the job in 1 1/2 days. The installation of the sod proceeded just as Gerardo had told me and he advised me how to care for the new sod (watering). I was very pleased with the email communications with Gerardo's wife in the front office. From the time I received the initial quote to the completion of the project, she kept me advised of what was going to happen when. It is now about two weeks after completion and I have a very green yard. As stated above, this project went very well and I would highly recommend Green Stone Landscaping for lawn care and landscaping projects."
