"The entire experience with Chesapeake Roofing was great. I had a leak and had 4 roofing companies come out to provide estimates. My experience with all of them was good, but Chesapeake Roofing won the contract because of my interaction with Jack and Kurt. When I first noticed the leak I reached out to Chesapeake Roofing and received a return call within minutes of my inquiry. I was hoping for a repair, but none were successful at stopping the leak. When I finally resigned to the fact that I needed a new roof I reached out to Chesapeake Roofing again and the next day Jack was onsite with his friendly companion K-9 to inspect the roof. Jack helped me understand their process fully, worked with me on pricing, and was able to schedule the replacement the very next week. This was a relief given the leak. On the day the roof was replaced the crew arrived on time and had the entire project completed by midday. Jack even came by during the install to check on things. Per their policy and my instruction, they tarped around the house to protect my bushes, siding, deck, and other valued items. When I returned later that day there was no evidence that anyone had been there except for the beautiful new roof that was installed. The house has two additions and two valleys, making it more complex than a standard roof. Jack checked in once the work was completed and has followed up promptly with questions I have had. The best part... no more leak! I would highly recommend Chesapeake Roofing. We decided to choose NCR (Home Fix Custom Remodeling). The workmen arrived at 7:45am and finished the work by 4:30pm. This included removal of the old shingles, installing new quality underlayment, new shingles, chimney flashing, new roof edging and a thorough cleanup of the old roofing materials, and removal of old nails in the yard. "Power home did a door to door, after meeting with their rep for siding, we liked the superior quality of their vinyl siding with a foam backing. Our current siding had issues of water penetration and algae growth and frankly was cheap as the previous owner took advantage of drive by sales after a hail storm. On their QA inspection post install? They found further water penetration through the roof and provided me proof of that so we went high end with a GAF roofing system. End result? Yeah it cost quite a bit more than my comfort zone. But you get what you pay for. We are more comfortable, and since this occurred during winter? I noted my heat pump did not cycle as often. And we got our electric company assessment for energy use for a totally electric home? Excellent. Impact of the better siding and better roof."

One being JDH, they were all pretty much priced the same and each company had great reviews but something about these guys really stood out. Jim and Ken first people I spoke with and they were so professional but also made me feel like part of the family. This is a locally owned company and I have always tried to support the local small town business. So happy we went this route. We added a bathroom to our basement, new construction. The bathroom turned out to be absolutely beautiful and is perfect for my Mother who has now moved in and named her new space her mini spa. It is small but mighty with little touches that really shows a master carpenter was in the space. We are all thrilled with the quality of this project. After that my husband and I knew we needed to upgrade our master and guest bath so we asked for project number 2. Our master bathroom was a carpet on the floor dark and dreary nightmare. They turned that eyesore into a retreat! Jim and Ken really listened to what I needed as a client- and I know I'm picky and difficult- but they took everything I threw at them and the rest is history.
