Also depending on the size of job would determine billing, usually we ask for half prior to job after contract signed and remaining balance when job is complete. "I purchased new granite countertops from Ultimate Stone through Angie's list 3 years ago and had them installed in my kitchen. To my shock and dismay, the granite has CRACKED clear through and chipped! I called and sent photos to Ultimate Stone for weeks before I got a call back. Finally, the company president made an appointment to visit my home on a specified date, with a 3-hour window, to look at the problem. I took time off work for this and waited the 3 hours, BUT HE DIDN'T SHOW UP and hasn't returned my follow-up calls, either. I don't know what to do. These granite countertops cost me a LOT. I paid quite a bit more than the original deal because I needed additional countertops made. I had planned to put up my home for sale in the near future, but I can't do this with a big crack in the kitchen counter like this. I dealt with both Ultimate Stone and Angie's List in good faith, and I'm afraid I cannot recommend either at this point."
