"Before installing a mini-split, the sales person told me that I'd need to cut down an interior shelf to a specific height. I paid a handyman $400 to do exactly what the sales person instructed. Later on, N.E.T.R. came and did the installation; however, AFTER the installation, a technician told me that they hadn't accounted for the vent opening and closing and that the shelf would need to be further cut down. As you can imagine, this type of service is rather ridiculous. If they knew that the shelf would need further cutting, they should have NOT installed the unit. I have called N.E.T.R. six (6) times in three weeks, and no one has called me back about this issue. After paying for the unit and for a handyman, it's ridiculous that I have AC that is compromised because no one with the company thought to properly measure the space so that the work by the handyman could be done once. At this point, I'd like for N.E.T.R. to take care of this for me."

"My recommendation is to make sure you realize if they drill holes in walls its your responsibility to have it fixed. My mistake lead to a miscommunication with Jim, but he resolved the issue."

Customers say: Quick response

"Getting scheduled was a little difficult but I can't deduct any stars for that. Clearly Moses Electric is busy because they do quality work and the communication on getting scheduled was fantastic. I had them do four different things; they gave me a fair price and did it quickly and cleanly. They cleaned up after themselves -- no pieces of copper or wire jacketing laying around for the dog to find. I couldn't be happier."

"I am posting this review to share my personal experience with 128 Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric. Everything below reflects events that occurred in my home and my personal observations and opinions based on those events. My wife and I hired 128 Plumbing for an oil to gas conversion and related heating work, including the installation of a Lochinvar WHB 110 gas boiler. The total financed cost was approximately $25,371 after rebates, with an additional roughly $2,000 for a gas line related to a stove conversion. After the installation, we experienced repeated operational issues with the system. These included multiple boiler lockouts that resulted in periods without heat. When the system was running, temperatures in certain rooms were inconsistent. One bedroom used for sleeping experienced significant temperature fluctuations that made it difficult to maintain consistent comfort. During the course of the work and follow up visits, we also experienced several issues involving d"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Rockport, MA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
