"Both the roofing and the gutter teams did a great job. The gutters needed to be removed and then the roof installed and then the gutter crew came back to finish the job. Brandon was there from beginning to end. I will not hesitate to recommend or use services again."

"Bill Brown (owner) made the final inspection of my new roof today 10-14-2019. He provided me the Proof of Roof certificate unique to roofing companies here in NW Arkansas and my owner's warranty package. I am totally satisfied with my new roof and the professional service rendered by Brad Garnett, Bill Brown and the team at Brown Boys Roofing Company."

"We can't say enough good about Jack Lankford and Joshua Company. These days, most of the time when hiring workman around your home, there is something that doesn't go quite right. Not so with Jack! He did everything exactly as bid and promised and there has not been one thing we've found that needs tweaking or adjusting. We had 6" gutters installed and have had a very hard downpour since the installation. All of the gutters carried the water with no problem. Jack recommended a rain chain at the end of the deck, because we weren't sure how to deal with a downspout there, visually. We purchased that ourselves, but the installation looks great and we're glad that he informed us about this option. The leaf guards are doing a good job. He had to cut through a deck board in one spot to install a downspout to run underneath the deck and out, and it looks like it occurred naturally. The cut is so clean and the fit is *perfect*, not too much space cut around it; it's a beautiful installation. Also, we had him to bid the job last fall (2018.) We realized that there would be painting involved for a fascia replacement that was required behind the old gutter, and it was too cold to insure proper paint adhesion at that time of year. So we put the job off until spring. Jack checked in with us to see if we were ready; we didn't have the make the first move. We'd incurred hail damage and needed a roof replacement, so we put him off until that could happen, and with all the rain we had this summer, it took us until August 2019 to get the job done. This didn't deter Jack and once we had a time established, he came out and finished in one day. He used quality materials and stayed with his original bid to the penny. He and his assistant, Aaron, were pleasant, cheerful, and worked well with one another. They were a joy to have on the property. By the time they left, we felt like we'd made new friends. How often does one have *that* kind of experience with workmen at their home? Not.often. We definitely recommend this company for gutter work, And, we wish he did other work too, because if he did, we'd hire him for some other things we need done around our home. They just don't make 'em like Jack anymore! If you can get him, you'll be glad for it."

"My wife and I could not have hired anyone who would have done as quick a job or as professional, detailed, as accommodating. They cleaned up the yard after the job and not so much as a nail was left. We would recommend John Cotton roofing & Home improvement for any work you might need done."

"Branden is a pleasure to work with. I have used him for several years for our roofing needs and have been very pleased. After the huge hail storm last year, there were a lot of repairs to be done not only on my home, but a storage building, detached garage and carport/patio roof. He used top-notch materials and the result shows it. His crew was very knowledgeable and worked steadily until the job was done. The one very small leak at a joint on the guttering was quickly and professionally remedied. Very pleased with the work, workmanship, and dedication/attention to customer needs/wants and all at a very fair price. I would definitely use his company again and highly recommend them."

"Roof Genie inspected our roof and determined that we had significant hail damage. They contacted our insurance company, filed all the necessary paperwork, met with the adjustor and then completed the work. We were shown several samples but they were not exactly what we wanted. They kept finding samples for us to view until we found one we liked. They never rushed us, or pressured us in anyway. They were very responsive to our needs and treated us with up most respect and professionalism. The crew was very professional and efficient. They worked tirelessly without stopping, took great care with our house, lawn and landscaping. They kept the work site very clean and orderly and when they were done you would not know they had been there. <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Rogers, AR

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
