"Without a hitch, Mark really knows what he is doing, He and his crew did a superb job, we are so happy with the finished product. He had a plumbing contractor come over the next day to hood up the dishwasher and new sink which Mark installed. Mark followed up the next day to see if we needed anything else and is we satisfied with everything."

"Alex was on time and extremely thorough with both ideas and the work. He cleans up the job daily so that you don’t feel like you are living in a construction zone. I have used him for two bathroom remodels and a kitchen refresh just to name a few jobs. He is personable. He removed a skylight and redid my ceiling and roof that people totally did not remember that I had a skylight. Top notch work always."

"Chris was very professional and timely. I was having my shower installed and there was a plumbing issue - Chris came right out, assessed the problem and gave me options to fix. Returned early the next day and after some tough work was able to clear the lines. He also took extra time to ensure the existing plumbing was not leaking. I would recommend CK's Major League Plumbing to anyone needing a professional plumber - he is our guy for future needs. Thank you."

FAQs for appliance (microwave oven) installation and replacement projects in Roseland, FL

A pro can finish the job in one to three hours. Countertop models are the quickest, but built-in, drawer, and over-the-range units take longer because the installer may need to run a new outlet, modify cabinets, or add venting. Any add-ons can push the timeline closer to the three-hour mark. Hiring a licensed installer ensures the wiring is safe and the appliance operates at peak performance.

Because an over-the-range microwave doubles as a range hood, it needs proper venting. You can opt for a recirculating model that filters and recirculates air back into the kitchen, or a ducted unit that exhausts outdoors. Are you unsure which route suits your cooking style? Ask your installer for guidance before making a purchase.

Only microwaves labeled “over-the-range” have the built-in venting and lighting that’s necessary for safe, code-compliant use above a stove. Countertop models don’t have those safeguards. Before you swipe your card, have a licensed microwave installer confirm you’re choosing the right unit for the space and ensure compliance with local codes.

It’s best not to install a countertop microwave in your cabinets. Countertop models aren’t designed for use in an enclosed cabinet, and blocking those vents can trap moisture or even create a fire hazard. A built-in or drawer microwave is designed for tight spaces. Run your plans by an installer to make sure you’re buying the right style for the spot.

You don’t need an electrician if the outlet already meets the microwave’s power needs and sits in the right spot. In that case, you’re good to go ahead with the installation. If the outlet is undersized, outdated, or too far away, hire a licensed electrician to install a new one and ensure everything is code-compliant.

With routine care, most microwaves last between five and 10 years. To help them reach their maximum lifespan, wipe up spills immediately, wash the grease filter periodically, avoid using metal dishware, and close the door gently. Those simple habits reduce malfunctions and keep the appliance running smoothly for the long haul.
