"We have been planning our bathroom remodel for a couple of years, waiting for the right time. This spring, we kicked off the project by getting multiple estimates from various Angie's list contractors. We narrowed down to three contractors due to reviews, pictures, prior jobs and other research. Kurt provided a detailed estimate covering each aspect of the job, down to a line item of installing towel rods. This was appreciated for many reasons: 1-It showed each item that we requested. 2-each item had associated costs so we could include/exclude the service as we needed to maintain our budget. 3-He listened to what we said and got it. 4-The estimate was broken down into separate aspects. Demolition, installing/sealing sheetrock/etc, tiling, etc. This gave us better insight into how detailed the project was to be managed. When the project got underway, Kurt asked questions, provided feedback, and kept us informed. He never told us how we should "design/decorate" the bathroom. Unless we asked for his opinion, he provided options. When we asked his opinion, he provided reasoning. When it was subjective, he was always diplomatic. We have gone through a number of renovations and it is always stressful. Kurt and his wife (boss) Sherry were always pleasant and really made it as stressless as possible. Kurt stands behind his work and always made sure we were happy with his progress and performance. I would recommend Kurt without reservation. His attention to detail and easy going personality were greatly appreciated."

"Our fridge is 12 years old, and when the ice cream melted we panicked and thought we'd need a new one. But first we consulted Angie's List and chose Coldapplianceman Corporation to do our repair. Mr. Brown responded to our call immediately, but couldn't make it until the next day due to the lateness of the hour. We scheduled to be the first appointment of his day, 8:30am. Unfortunately, he had to wait for some parts and was delayed an hour. Once here, Mr. Brown was efficient, and after listening to me describe the problem, got to work diagnosing the problem. Functioning easily in a very tight space behind our refrigerator (Mr. Brown is not a small man), he quickly eliminated the dreaded compressor possibility and climbed out from behind. Next he checked the temperature control board, where he found the problem. Luckily, he had the part in his truck, which he installed and the fridge has been working great ever since. When the project was complete, Tom had no hidden charges and had stuck to the original quoted price. While there, Tom had informed me of a saftey hazard with my furnace and plenum which he showed me an discussed what was needed to make the repairs. Needless to say I gave him that work too."
