"We waited to review our project 1 year after completion to be sure that all was well. We are very pleased with the final result. Our only mishap was having miscommunications with B&B when we requested follow up 4 months after project completion – our issues were resolved with a factory representative. No hard feelings. How It Went- Workers were professional and competent. Building on an existing slab is extremely challenging – because the slab slopes away and down from the house – 2 angles that need to be countered when leveling windows and doors etc. When corrective rework was needed (to compensate for a 2 inch site deviation) the team didn’t hesitate and B&B came up with an excellent solution. We retained the exterior stucco exterior of our house for the room and they finished the wall beautifully – it required a lot of fine and patient work. We asked for an 18 inch deep exterior pad – which accommodates a doormat and our foot print. It was done this way – although there was initial push back on this request. We also involved our own electrician, who is familiar with this old house – and we came up with an elegant solution to connect to our home. After project closure, we delayed evaluation until things settled out. Over the next few months, some of the sliding windows became increasingly difficult to open and close – and during an extremely fierce and long rainstorm we experienced a leak coming from one corner of the enclosure. We immediately spoke with B&B. With miscommunications with B&B, we resolved our issues with a factory representative in a single short visit: they added weep holes to the exterior, caulked, replaced a window roller and adjusted windows and the screen doors. We are very pleased with the final result. And so are our kitties."

"Wes and his crew have worked with us before (May 2016 - see prior review ) so our expectations were high based on the prior high-quality experience. They exceeded our high expectations in terms of quality and time to get the job done. His description of his company states 'we build your dreams' and this could not be more accurate. We thought about this space for quite some time and had very specific requests about building materials (we wanted Ipe hardwood and particular stones and particular lights and a particular avocado tree!). He took our poorly drawn sketch and turned it into our dream side yard. Turned out as we expected only the color of the wood really pops and looks amazing against the rock. As with the last job, he pays attention to all of the unseen structural details - the stepping stones are all cemented in and level, the planters - while appearing to be above ground - are all anchored and level. This team really does pay attention to detail and doesn't just throw things together. I have to say - I did not even bother getting a competing bid because our prior experience with Wes was so great and we are so happy with the quality of the work. We'll have him out one more time for a final project we have planned in a year or two - have to dream it up! We have been having tree root problems with partial clogging of the yard drains for several years Our neighbor's trees were causing a pain in the drains. Previous hired rooter companies weren't able to remove all the roots. About 80 feet of pipe is under a concrete walkway. I was told told by the previous rooter companies that I might have to break out the concrete (big bucks!) and replace the pipe in several years.

I decided to call The Drain Co after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List. Ramon arrived on time and was polite and was very knowledgeable --- 20+ years experience! He explained how the procedure was to be done correctly. He used the proper size cutter (the previous companies used a small coil type rooter after giving up using a cutter, which only partially rooted through the root mass). He knew the exact cable feeding rate to resistance met to get a complete root cut, and when to pull the cable and repeat the process. He pulled out a 7 foot string of roots which at first I thought was a baby python. After clearing the roots he applied a root killer which relieved my anxiety about replacing the pipe which was under concrete. Ramon did a thorough clean up afterwards. Will definitely use The Drain Co again and highly recommend them!
