"I think what impressed me the most was the quick response and the quick turn around getting the sidewalk done. I forgot to add a pipe to send our cable under the sidewalk and they went the extra mile to keep us happy and came back and put in a pipe for us. Very easy to work with and will use them again in the future."

"Green Matters Landscaping laid sod in my yard. This is the second time I have used them and they have done an excellent job on both the sod job and the earlier job of pruning and general yard work. I would highly recommend this company for your landscaping needs."

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Russellville, AL

Topsoil packs your garden with the nutrients plants crave, improves soil structure, and lets water drain at just the right pace. The result is a welcoming planting bed that makes routine chores—like weeding and aerating—far easier. In short, quality topsoil boosts fertility, builds stronger root systems, and keeps your landscape looking vibrant season after season.

If you’re tackling a large area and have room to store extra soil, bulk delivery almost always wins on price. Bags cost more per cubic yard but arrive clean, sealed, and easy to haul around tight spaces or raised beds. Match the option to your square footage, storage space, and muscle power, and you’ll find the most cost-effective and hassle-free choice for your project.

First, measure the square footage you want to cover, then decide on a layer—most gardens thrive with 4 to 8 inches of fresh topsoil. A 40-pound bag spreads over 12 square feet at a depth of one inch. Multiply your area by the desired depth (in inches), divide by 12, and you’ll know exactly how many bags to load in the cart. Using this quick formula guarantees even coverage and a healthy, vibrant garden bed.
