"The cleaning was supposed to be done after we moved out, so we don't know if it was done well or at all. We were coerced into using this company by the apartment complex where we stayed during the summer of 2016. The carpets and the apartment were immaculate when we moved out, but we had to pay this company anyway. There were a lot less expensive options available, but we had to use this company. Almost certainly a kick-back situation with the complex. We left a check for exactly what we were told by the apartment complex. A few days later we got a terse phone call from the company telling us we didn't pay sales tax!!! We told them we paid what we were told, and that nobody mentioned sales tax. They reluctantly ate this $6 sales tax charge."

"Ordered the health scan report to get a comprehensive analysis of our water beyond the suspected problem of bacteria. The sample kit arrived within a couple days. The results took about a week and a half. The results even identified the species bacteria and yeasts and included information on each."

"Triage Bio Clean were very professional and considerate during the air duct cleaning of my house today. They were kind enough to let me know that the machines would be loud and might startle my six month old daughter. They were also very flexible with my schedule and were willing to come a half an hour later than I had previously asked them to come which I very much appreciated! Bill was also very prompt in getting back to me when I called (twice) to schedule and reschedule my appointment. They were very nice and hard working and did a great job cleaning up after they were finished. I would definitely use them again (although they are pricey), and they also do lots more cleaning services besides air duct cleaning."

"It went very well for me, not so sure it went well for them. I was living in a condo on the 3rd floor in a 12-plex building, and wanted to have my dryer vent cleaned out as part of selling my condo. The guys arrived on time - even a bit early - with their large truck used for cleaning out vents. I didn't  know exactly which vent was mine from looking at it from the outside, but no problem! They told me they could figure that out if the dryer was on and blowing air. A guy went up on a ladder to my vent to hook up the suck-all-the-dirt-out hose. A ton of birds then flew out of the vent directly at his face and I heard him exclaim in some choice words. He later told me he almost fell off the ladder, at about 20 feet off the ground, so I feel this is understandable, but I still give them a B for professionalism because of this. Anyway, the vent was hooked up to the hose, hooked up to their truck, and sucked out what I was told was "a bunch of bird nests, bird poop, and bird bodies." Gross. It didn't very long, maybe 30-40 minutes total? The guys were very nice and understanding, I felt terrible that the one guy almost fell off his ladder and I didn't warn him of the possible bird dangers. He also advised me that he noticed all of the vents in our condo building were full of nests and that this is a serious fire hazard. He recommended an improvement: having a siding company install a small wire cage over the vent exterior to prevent birds from nesting in the future. Something to pass along to the condo association for them to consider as a project. Very nice guys, I would definitely hire them again. <br />"

"Great! Punctual, pleasant, and professional. <br /> These guys were terrific. Did a bang-up job cleaning our upstairs wool carpeting and our basement 'garbage' poly carpeting. Were able to remediate pet stains and aromas. Also cleaned an area rug. <br /> Best of all, they were quick... not rushed, but fast enough to impress me with the quality of their work. <br /> Nicely done! <br />"

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Ryan, IA

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
