"Disappointing Job Completion. Walt's crew came out in mid April (2025) to replace the concrete slab/stoop in front of our door. The crew completed the job within two days once it was scheduled; another person came back at a later date to remove the forms. The top edge and sides of the slab have a nice, uniform look. However, the entire bottom edge was left jagged. The previous slab which they replaced had a smooth, uniform bottom edge. I texted Walt with my concern about the jagged condition the bottom edge of the new slab/stoop was left in. Walt told me the only thing he would be able to do is send someone out with a grinder. That was in May. To date, no one has come out from Stonewall Excavation, LLC. No texts, no calls. I gave ample time for someone to come out. I texted Walt in July to confirm that someone would indeed be coming by to do the grinding. He didn't respond to my texts. Guess he blew it off."

"In spite of the wet weather & access issues they had to deal with, the guys did a great job on the patio & sidewalk concrete work & on the interlocking stone wall. The finishing details on the patio & walkway were exemplary & perhaps some of, if not the best I have seen. I had other contractors working on other projects in the house, & they too were impressed with the job that they did. I would highly recommend Thorp Construction & would most definitely hire them again."

They got the work done timely and the results were awesome! We will definitely use Cullen and his team in the future for any landscaping needs."

"The crew worked on our driveway in late July, early August. We’re very dissatisfied on how the job turned out. They cut out the bad section on 30 July and filled it with some sort of gravelly cold patch. The crew came back about a week later and sealed the driveway Problems: They DID NOT seal the gravelly patch area.........actually, they did seal a small portion of it, but that portion cracked within a few days Leads me to believe sealing any of it was a mistake as they must have KNOWN any part of the patch sealed would crack, but, of course, that leaves the driveway unfinished Highly related problem: The patch still has not totally dried, I can still push in on it with my thumb - and the situation is not getting better Hard to see how this job to be anything but a failure - ie, a waste of $3,600 Sign Grace Betts"

"I hired Beaver Valley Lawn Service (A J) as I had a water problem and it was running onto my patio. He french drained it. Well just a few days after it rained and the water came down worse then before he did his work. I paid him over $6,000. Then he came to look at it and wanted $3,100. more he said to fix it. My children said no and we got someone else to do it the right way. He also never finished what he was to do according to the contract. He was to plant grass seed and put fertilizer on where they had dug up. My son has been trying to get the money back but he acts like he has an attorney and he will send us a letter. We just want our money back. DO NOT HIRE HIM. I had to mark something in where it ask what work I had done because it does't give you an option to put in what was done at my home and it won't go through without something in the box."

"Frank SanPietro was very professional. He arrived when he said he would and was careful to make sure that he and his crew did a great job. They replaced My entire double width concrete driveway. They installed and raised the steel reinforcement fencing into the middle of the concrete to make sure that the finished concrete driveway was strong. The preparation and finishing of the concrete was exactly as he stated it would be completed. He delayed concrete pouring for expected rain and freezing temperatures, as he should.
