"long store but please read if you have a tesla charger install by them or electrical work. had a tesla charger installed by them last year 2019 few months after the install the charger stop working i use the tesla model X on the weekends only and charger 1-2 times a month so probably use it less than 15-18 times when the charger stopped working i gave Aztec solar a call and one of the installer came by a week later to fix the issue. and the issue was the breaker caught on fire and burnt that was very dangerous and its a large 80 amp breaker luckily my house didn't burn down any ways their tech replace the breaker and assure me this will not happen again he also made some adjustment to the tesla charger saying the charger is the cause (which is strange because if the charger was the issue by over charger or some thing it will trip the breaker but not cause it to burnt but he knows more than me so i didn't' question him just happy it was fixed) and last month the charger stopped working again i remember the first time the same thing happened so i went to the main panel and check the breaker the breaker is still in the ON position and i can small a bit of burn plastic so i turn it to off then back to on position and i can hear arcing sound from the breaker i immediate put it to the off position again and left it there i gave Aztec solar a call told them the charger stopped working and have the same issue as last time and few days later they called me back and told me the warranty has passed and the service call is 130 dollars plus 70 dollars a hour and gas fee plus part cost. i told them the same issue they try to fix last time was not done properly and the breaker they installed has caught on fire again. they said we still have to charge you even if the problem was not fixed properly last time when the install was still in warranty. if you value your house and don't want to put your family at risk do not use these guys i had another electrician come by and he open the panel and below are the picture of the burnt breaker again the issue was the clamp on the breaker they installed is too far apart and not making good connection on the main panel so it's like a welder getting hot every time i charge and finally just caught on fire luckily this time it didn't burn down my house just have to replace this breaker with the correct one and replace the surrounding breaker that was burn by this one."

"Title: "Nightmare Experience: Sierra Pacific's Shoddy Workmanship Costs Thousands in Damages!" Review: â ï¸ â â â â If I could turn back time, I would've never trusted Sierra Pacific with my solar installation. The nightmare began just over a year ago, and it's been a cascade of disappointment ever since. Here's a chronicle of the chaos they've caused: 1. Sloppy Installation, Sloppier Paint Job: The first red flag was the haphazard painting of the piping leading up to the roof. It clearly indicated that attention to detail was not a priority for Sierra Pacific. Paint can be fixed, but thousands of gallons of water piped over your home pool solar needs to be treated with care, and they failed from day one. 2. Outdated Controller with Irreparable Software: To add insult to injury, we were handed an outdated controller with software so archaic it couldn't even be updated. This left our system struggling from day one, unable to perform at its full potential. 3. Leak-Induced Gutter Disaster: After just a little over a year, we're now dealing with water leaks that have wreaked havoc on our high-end leaf guard gutters. Thousands of dollars in damages later, it's clear Sierra Pacific's negligence has come at a steep cost. 4. Deceptive Monthly Service Scam: We fell prey to their monthly service, only to realize it's nothing short of a sham. Technicians breeze through the work, missing glaring installation failures that any competent professional should have caught. 5. Radio Silence from Management: In the face of these mounting issues, I made numerous attempts to reach out to a manager, but not a single call was returned. It's disheartening to see such a lack of accountability and customer care. It's imperative to share this experience so others can avoid the headache and financial burden that comes with choosing Sierra Pacific. Don't let their flashy promises fool you â beneath the surface lies a company that falls egregiously short on quality, professionalism, and accountability. Buyer beware!"

"Would give zero stars if possible! Larry Hoang at first presented himself as an honest, reasonable man and contractor but his actions have proven this very wrong. We have two major roof leaks that will cost us thousands of dollars to fix - caused by deficient solar panel installation. He refuses to repair them, despite three independent reports from other local licensed contractors indicating the roof damage was *directly* caused by the solar panel installation. We am currently filing a formal complaint with the California State Contractors Licensing Board in an effort to get him to respond, as we cannot even get our roof fixed until he agrees to remove the panels. We hired him specifically because we wanted to support local businesses - but we sincerely regret this decision. Buyer BEWARE! This is not an honorable businessman - nor business!"

FAQs for solar panels for electric system repair projects in Sacramento, CA

Solar panels are fairly low-maintenance, but they do need occasional attention. A quick wash a couple of times a year and a yearly professional inspection help maintain efficiency. Watch for cracked glass, loose wiring, or hail damage; small fixes cost far less than waiting until output drops. If a panel is badly shattered, replacement—handled by a licensed pro—is often the smarter call.

Most panels last 25 to 50 years, so replacement is rare. Swap them out only when output drops noticeably, the warranty has run its course, or storm damage makes repairs impractical. Track your production data; if efficiency continues to slip even after minor fixes, it’s time to consult a solar installation professional and consider replacing a panel.

Homeowners are accountable for solar panel repairs unless their system is under a leasing agreement. Warranty coverage may reduce repair expenses for specific components. Warranty protection covers repairs when panels fail due to installation errors or unexplained issues. However, if a unit cracks due to an impact, the homeowner is responsible.

Always contact your installer and review your warranty before initiating repairs. Many manufacturers offer warranties ranging from 10 to 20 years. Inverters have a 10-year warranty, panels carry a minimum five-year workmanship warranty, and the overall system is protected for 25 years.
