"I used Fair & Sqaure to finish out the basement on my home. The original builder had only roughed in the basement and plumbing when the home was build a couple of years ago so wiring and all the framing was needed. I wasn't thrilled with the layout that were in the builders original plans so I met with the designer from Fair & Square to see how the existing roughed in plumbing could be modified to include a full bathroom rather than the 3/4 bath and to add a bar area. They came up with a good plan that didn't require major modifications and included the things I was looking for. They also had good suggestions on layout for the family room and bedroom that really worked with the walk out and how we planned to use it. Through the construction project our project manager kept us up to date on progress and what to expect. Everyone who worked on the project was sensitive to the fact that we were living in the home as they were completing it and tried hard not to be disruptive to our family life."

"Bob put an addition on my home. I was impressed with how well the addition was leveled to the existing home. The addition was started in May and finished in late September. The work overall was very good, a minor issue that came up after the addition was finished was quickly resolved by Bob."

Vitaly (owner) came to my house to see what needed to be done and to offer suggestions.  He was polite and professional.

Viktor came to work on time a few days later to start the demolition. The dumpster was not there the first day so he came back the next day to start. No problem.  Viktor and his helper worked very hard to demolish  the bathroom.  They cleaned up each day before they left.

There was some mold on an adjacent bedroom wall , which was not surprising, since the some of the old bathroom shower tiles were missing.  Vitaly thought that we could find some kind of a solution to get rid of the mold, but  none of the stores had a powerful enough formula to do the job right.  After a  few days, I decided it was best to have that wall removed completely.   Vitaly asked Viktor to give a bid to remove the bedroom wall.  Viktor did not want to take on that job.  Vitaly then gave me a name of a contractor who specializes in mold removal.  I hired that company and in about another week, the mold wall was carefully removed and replaced with another bedroom wall. 

Before the bedroom mold wall was removed, Viktor installed an outside vent cap for the bathroom fan.   There is a small section of roof (approx. 18 inches) with a pitch extending from the side of the house above the bathroom ceiling where the vent roof cap could be placed.

 Viktor installed  a vent cap, but it was the wrong type.  He installed a wall vent cap, not a roof vent cap.  Also, the vent was installed over the shingles and flashing, instead of under them. If left as is, wind and rain  would be able to come into the exhaust pipe or leak under the shingles and enter the bath fan/house.  I notified Vitaly about it.  He called me back and said that they would fix it.  He said that Viktor told him that he had installed that type of vent before.   I said to Vitally that I would remove it and install a new, correct type of vent.

After the bedroom wall was replaced, I decided  that I did not want to use Vitaly's services any more.  I called Viatly and talked to him about the situation and my decision.  He was very polite and listened to what I had to say.  We agreed that it was best to settle on the charges I owed him and move on.    

 I've called Angie's List a few times, since, to talk about the situation.    One of the things that I found from the Angie's List Representative was that Vitaly's company had already been paid by Angie's List.  This surprised me, since I thought a contractor would get paid for a Big Deal only AFTER the work had been done.

  At this point, I want to be sure that Vitaly's company gets paid for the work they did. (they have been paid, amount is unknown) 

  Also, I would like to get a refund for $3700.00     I feel that I owe Vitaly $1300.00 for the work his company did.   My figure includes an adjustment for replacing the bath fan vent and for the extra 5 days the dumpster sat in my yard.

I would appreciate a resolution to this situation so that all 3 parties can move on.  Thank you.

"Rossbach Construction has done many projects for us in the past. We do get competing bids for each project. Rossbach always is right in line with their prices and my wife and I feel that the quality of their work is always top notch. Never had a problem with previous work done. Work they have done for us in the past includes: Our lower deck and three season room addition to our house, Rossbachs built our new automotive shop from the vacant lot we purchased all the way to the end when we turned the key in the door to open our new place. Never had a problem. Great group of guys.

"Damian and his crew did an amazing job on my basement. I had at least two other contractors flake out on me and I was thinking no one would want to tackle my basement. I had multiple floods in my basement and needed a lot of sheetrock repair. I also needed a stud wall, sheetrock and electrical run for a wall I had to tear down (sump pump and drain tile installed by someone else). They handled the job no problem. Communication was excellent, they showed up on time and I never felt like they were "in the way." The workers were always polite and they left a clean work space. If I ever need more work done I would not hesitate to call them again. I feel like I have my basement back."

"The project started at the end of last summer.  I met with Heinen Contracting as well as several other contractors, as this was a really bid deal for us.  Right from the start, Greg gave us some really good advice, and we actually ended up changing the scope of work based on his direction.  We had been planning this garage addition for a long time, but Greg's design was much better than what we originally wanted to do.  It created a better flow from the garage to the house, and saved us a lot of money on materials and labor.  He really knew what he was doing with the permitting, we pulled the permit ourselves, as homeowners, but we wouldn't have been able to do it without all his assistance. His office staff was helpful and always available when we needed advice.  They started in the fall and were really good about keeping the job site clean, even after that first early snow when the mud got really bad.  All of the crew were very professional and respectful of our space and privacy.  The workmanship was top notch.  They continued through the winter, with a lull over the holidays, as we requested.  They got right back to work every day the weather would allow and we were all signed off and ready to use our new garage and additional space early this spring. 
We loved working with Greg. He was very responsive, very professional and most of all he has GREAT ideas and is very creative.  He really knows his industry and it shows in the outcome.  I will definitely call him again when we are ready to tackle another big project.
