"Greg and his entire team were great to work with in all stages of the project start to finish. We had a very comprehensive project performed, our asphalt driveway replaced with concrete/graded (asphalt was crumbling for years), our garage slab replaced with new concrete/graded (massive cracks from previous owner water damage), front walk way replaced with cobblestone brick (concrete walk was sunk/too steep) and our front steps also done in cobblestone brick. Greg is very knowledgeable on his trade, very credible, highly personable and straightforward, which we really appreciated during the bidding process. Crosstown’s bid was fair for the project scope (not the highest by any means, nor the lowest) and they were the only vendor we entertained (5+) in the Twin Cites MN area that guarantees their work on concrete and brick work and publishes/encouraged us to contact previous clients as references. We viewed and spoke to multiple previous clients around the metro and their reviews and Crosstown’s workmanship were great. Planning for the job all summer was great with open and timely communications (calls, emails, texts) with Greg. The Crosstown demo and concrete/brick crews were very punctual, professional, kind and treated our home site as if it were their own (they went out of their way to not damage any landscaping, garden beds, structure, etc.). We had a great time watching and interacting with the crews during the week long project. We would defiantly have Greg and his teams back over for lunch if they were in the area. The project totally transformed our home’s appeal and functionality. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Greg and the Crosstown Concrete teams. Thanks again Greg."

"We are very pleased with L&R on all the projects that we have had completed in our yard. All the projects were well planned, designed and installed with care and respect to our property. They have done multiple landscaping projects that have improved our yard, including regrading, new shrubs, stone path, granite stone steps in the back yard up to a raised bed garden on the most difficult berm. Also installed brick side walk and under ground drains for rain run off, and replaced our deck with a two level deck and stairway. This past spring we called on them to do a yard cleanup and mulch refresh throughout the yard. The latest project was a some what emergency call when we had to have a new electric service installed, and as part of that work a growing rod had to be installed which required part of our paver sidewalk to be removed and reinstalled. They responded quickly, and made a problem disappear. Everyone at L&R is very professional, friendly and efficient from inception to completion and we will continue to rely on them for any and all projects for us and highly recommend them for any projects big or small."

"Quick response to our inquiry; punctual for the appointments and to begin the project. Very professional and engaging. Al offered several great ideas and matched our project cost to our budget. Plan was to cut down  all the weed growth on our cliff of a hill, spray everything with weed killer, cover the whole area with dormant seeded crown vetch which would germinate with the spring thaw and retake the hill with a solid ground cover. Unfortunately there is a crown vetch shortage so we are paused after phase 1. We will resume the project in the spring when hopefully the seed product is available.

"This spring we were in search of a company to pour a concrete patio as we were removing our old floating deck. We came across Clark Companies at the White Bear Home Show @ The Hippodrome. They followed up promptly afterwards and set a time to come out for a quote. They answered all our questions and helped us envision what it could look like. They were the only company we had out that actually cared (the others you probably hear advertised all the time). If you're here because you are researching them you can see they do this all the time and they do it well. They gave us many options to choose from for the patio & other items to complete the project (I.e stairs or grass seed). "This was one of the BEST home service experiences I have had, and I've had a lot of them. Professional from start to finish, with some exceptional things worth noting, particularly since I always do thorough research before hiring: - This patio was going to be installed in my classic South Mpls back yard, small & rectangular. There is one large oak tree in the yard, an for 20 years I've been cultivating smaller trees, shrubs and perennials to turn it into an urban oasis. I was concerned about equipment ripping out plants and roots. Twin City Landscape was the ONLY landscaper that does their work by hand, for the same price as landscapers that rely on heavy equipment, to accomplish the same task but with much less care for the space. - Debbie, the owner, came out to talk about the project and prepare the bid. She was the only rep from a company who alerted me to potential drainage problems given the positioning of my garage, and walked me through some options for handling them. - Debbie also was the only rep from a company who encouraged me to meet her at the place where the pavers were stored, so that I could choose style and color after seeing them in reality, rather than from a touched-up photograph. Other reps wanted me to choose style & color from the photos, sometimes on the spot, to make their bid-prep easier. Debbie made sure that I would be happy with the choice by being proactive about how it was made. I appreciated this attention to detail too. - When I visited the paver place with Debbie, I learned you purchase by the pallet, which undoubtedly contains more than the project requires. Because I am constantly working on projects in this yard that require rocks and pavers, I asked if I could keep the unused pavers. Of course the answer was yes, no extra price, and although I didn't specifically request this, the workers stacked them neatly in an easily accessible spot tucked away from public view. Other companies may have done this too, but unlike Debbie, none of them told me at the start that you purchase by pallet, which meant that there would be leftovers. The installation was timely, professional, friendly. The final result is lovely. It happened during the week of the 4th of July and the holiday complicated things. We worked through that and all went well. Extremely happy with the work and the experience, and happy to send other customers this way. Expect that you will be happy too."

"I have used AAA Lawn for the last 3 years for snowplowing my private driveway. They have done a great job every year. I have not had to worry at all about getting in or out. "It was a pleasure working with Kingscapes on this job to remove an existing deck and gazebo, design and build a new patio and landscape the grassy areas on our backyard. During the planning phase of the project, Don Kilty listened carefully to our ideas regarding the patio design and offered extensive advice, ultimately developing a plan that met all of our expectations. He was quick to provide a quote, and the amount was more reasonable than the other landscapers. ?The job presented some unusual challenges - two large basement window wells consisting of thick concrete needed to be jack hammered and removed ?- that Kingscapes handled with a high degree of professionalism. The on-site project manager, Donnie Nelson, was exceptionally pleasant and communicative and also exhibited extraordinary dedication and attention to detail over the course of the job. ?He personally laid out the layers of the patio and placed each paver himself. ?He and his crew were there everyday, even working late some nights. ?They cleaned up well at the end of each day. ?We would gladly recommend Kingscapes to others for similar work.?"

Chris, the owner, reviewed my project needs, suggested block style and color, described the process in detail and provided an estimate.  To ensure I would be satisfied with the color choice, he directed me to another project he completed in my area where the same block was used.  The selection was perfect and I hired Artistic Landscapes. 

The crew arrived on time and completed the project as planned. Chris was on site throughout the project to answer any questions I might have and to ensure all was on track.  The effort entailed removal of the existing flagstone wall, digging and setting a base, and removal of left-over flagstone and soil. They also had to accommodate my gutter drainpipe, and I was impressed with their solution. The team was professional, well organized and efficient.
