"Branham is a great painter who really puts his time and dedication into his work! He works fast and does an awesome job! It looks amazing and not sloppy like some other painters I’ve hired! I would definitely recommend Branham to paint anything you need painted! His work is great and he’s super friendly too!"

"Shane is outstanding. If you need any painting or epoxy finish, this is the guy you want to use. He was punctual, polite, and hard working. He is extremely knowledgable in his field, and explained everything he did every step of the way. He cares about his customers and takes pride in his work. He did a phenomenal job on our garage floor, and at a great price point. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. We have had a lot of work done on our house with various workers, and Shane by far was the best experience we have had. We hired him because of all of his great Angies list reviews, and I am happy to be another one of his satisfied customers."

"Our house was a victim of the great hailstorm of 2017. We filed a claim and called Trademark Contractors. Sam Aldridge came out and handled everything. It was very obvious they are a company that operates with the highest levels of integrity and that is what means the most to me. (One of his first questions was "are you prepared to pay the deductible" whereas others were like [looking around shiftily]"we can just put a sign in your hard ... wink wink"]). Sam was always on time for appointments and always responded within a couple of hours to calls or texts. He is extremely knowledgeable of the process and kept us well-informed at all stages. Crews were excellent. We have a large house (4600+ sqft) but the roof was done in a day and a half. Our original insurance estimate missed a number of vital things and Sam handled "proving" to the insurance company what we needed. (For example, the gutters were quoted using standard guttering but we have Leafgard gutters. The original quote proposed re-using the glass on the skylights...crazy right? and he handled getting a letter explaining that the seals required full replacement.) Because of the storm, Trademark (and a lot of other vendors) were incredibly busy (our neighborhood was a "showroom for roofing companies") but we were taken care of very well. We would definitely use again. Seth"

"If you can be flexible A+ Pressure Washing and Home Repairs is the Company for you. After some initial scheduling issues on both of our calendars, and the weather, we finally came to an agreed to date and time. Scott and Jonathan were very thorough on the task at hand. Our white siding, windows, soffits, and fascias look like new. We had all of this work done a year ago ( by another provider) and Scott fixed all of last years mistakes and made everything beautiful. They rinsed the window glass so minimal window cleaning will be needed. Not their problem, but I would recommend following them around as they do the windows and doors. It was easy to keep ahead of any water infiltration. Great Job Guys!
PS: while writing this review, my daughter called. After discussing what a great job they did she asked for his name. Which I gladly gave to her."

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Salem, SC

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
