"Homeowners Beware: Poor Workmanship, Misrepresentation, and Costly Damage We hired Shane Christiansen of SSC General Contractors in Sept 2022 for a $49K exterior renovation?concrete patios (upper/lower), stairs, front porch resurfacing, and a cedar fence with gates. What we received was cracked, crumbling, and pitted concrete that looked decades old within months. Gates sagged and required constant adjusting. Concrete defects?cracking, spalling, pitting, and discoloration?appeared quickly. Shane's patch attempts made it worse, leaving mismatched overlays that became icy and hazardous. The front porch had to be redone three times and still failed. Shane misrepresented his experience, admitted a crew member's first time to build a fence, and stopped responding after early repair attempts.
