"Mike and his team did an AMAZING job replacing my roof with a cool roof, backed by the Golden Pledge Warranty. I wanted an energy efficient roof to not only cut my AC bills, but to also use YGRENE to fully cover the cost and not pay a dime out of my pocket for this job. I had 6 different companies come out and quote me on a cool roof, and Sequoia Roofing was the first bid and ultimately the one we chose. Mike, the owner, was very down to earth, incredibly knowledgeable, and is the only one to offer the Golden Pledge Warranty. This warranty covers not only the materials (like most warranties do), but also the labor. In other words, the labor is backed by GAF (shingle company)...if something happens to Mike's business, the labor is still covered! No other contractor could offer me this warranty, as there is just a few certified contractors around who can! Knowing the huge investment of replacing my roof, I wanted to ensure I will never have to do it again! The best part was that his price was the same or even lower than the other 5 companies I had quote me. "We had a leak around the chimney area of our roof. Rick initially diagnosed the leak as from old flashing in need of replacing. Was quoted $1250 for the repair. They had their guys come out promptly and replace the flashing all around the base of the chimney where it meets the roof. Doing a nice clean job. However, upon the next rain event that we had (about 1 week later), the leak was still vey apparent. Rick came back out to look at it again, and realized that he had mis-diagnosed the problem, and that the leak was actually coming from another area where the fascia board on the side of the roof penetrates the chimney stack. He was very apologetic and reduced the amount that I owed him for the repair by 50%. He then referred me to a stucco contractor to correct the actual problem. He was very honest, and I appreciate his being willing to work with us. To be honest the flashing probably needed to be replaced anyway in my 30 year old house."

"Initially we called Protecta Roofing to get our roof inspected. Even though we currently did not have leak issues we thought it wise to have the roof inspected as the ceramic tiles were close to 30 years old. Mario was prompt in responding and coming out to inspect. We were informed of 10 broken tiles. Our decision was to have the tiles replaced and power wash the roof to remove algae which included applying an organic sealant product. After a couple weeks of failed attempts to obtain an estimate from Mario I was in touch with Edith, the company sales manager. From then on the communication and process went smoothly. Edith and crew were a delight to work with. Her knowledge of the work to be done and concern for my satisfaction were impressive. In addition to repairing the broken tiles, our solar panels were cleaned along with painting the pipe flashings. Because everything looked so clean we decided to have Protecta power wash our driveway and side walkways, which are also cleaned with the organic algae solution. The work done was outstanding!"

He got the permit, showed up on time to do the tear off of the existing roof, replaced necessary underlying wood, installed quality underlayment paper, edge metal and ridge pieces, replaced a cracked skylight, installed the new asphalt shingles, and left the home free of debris, finishing when they said they would.
