"It was an interesting experience.  <br /> My initial appointment with Rick (the owner)  to review the job. He was on time to the agreed appointment. I thought it went well. I provided details on where I wanted the gate installed and agreed on a design for the gate.  <br /> A few days later, I received a call that they were ready to go and I told them to proceed. I came home that day to find the gate post in the wrong location. Not good. After some communication, the gate post was ripped out and I reiterated my instruction on where the gate was to go. That was the last I saw of Rick. <br />    <br /> However, the reputation of this company was saved, in my opinion by the follow up and attentiveness of the next program manager - Cristi. She was very helpful and drove the project to completion, despite some shenanigans from San Jose City Permit people.   Very happy with the gate and its operation. <br /> Further update 12-08-14 - after a few days of rain, the wooden panels on the gate started to swell and the gate fell apart!!! I contacted the company and was told I was a priority and this would be attended to as soon as possible.  As of 12-30, nothing has been done to correct this.  <br /> Appalling.  <br /> <br />"

"The springs on my garage door broke Friday evening and I requested quotes on Yelp. Dean was the only company who could replace the springs on Saturday. Dean called me at 1:24PM and told me he can be at my house between 4PM and 6PM. Dean arrived a little after 5:00PM and replaced the springs by 5:40PM. He even checked the hardware on the garage door, lubricated the rollers, and adjusted the motor of the garage door opener. Dean was very courteous & professional and took the time to answer all the questions we had about the garage door and its maintenance. "About 2 months ago, I started looking to get estimates to build a new driveway gate at my house. I invited a few companies to give me estimates and found Tom with Automatic Gate Pros. Tom's estimate was in the middle of the other estimates I received, but it wasn't about the price at all. "<p>They were available a little earlier than scheduled, so they called to make sure it was OK.  They moved very quickly, getting a large sectional sofa, large pieces of wood, a bed frame and a bunch of other junk out of the garage.  There were also several garbage cans in the backyard  (left over from a questionable provider my daughter hired for me off of Craigslist) filled with more junk and dirt.  They then moved inside to remove more old furniture and storage shelves (breaking some down to fit into the truck better) and a wall mirror (about 8' x 10' - extremely heavy) that they carefully taped up before attempting to move.</p> <p>They cleaned up any small debris left over (they started cleaning up a pile of dirt on the cement in the backyard too, but I stopped them because I didn't want them to waster their time on something I could handle myself).  The whole thing only took about 1 hour.</p> <p>The deal was $111 for an 1/8 of a load; everything I had pretty much filled up the panel truck they had, so there was an extra $300 charge (which included a discount for recyclables).  Pretty good value considering the $99 dumpsters usually work out to be closer to $300, and if I'd gone with one of those I would have still had to load it up myself.</p> <p>All 3 guys were very personable and professional, which made the whole experience much less stressful.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"
