Soon after completion, weeds began to take over the zoysia and large area of Jasmine which required countless hours of manual removal. Which was contrary to the intent of the design (low maintenance). It appears as if I paid for more jasmine plants than I received as there were many gaps were weeds quickly found a home. Originally I had asked Ed to use a landscape canvas which would help minimize weed growth, but he convinced me not to use it. I should have insisted! I would recommend Ed's designs but not the work.
