"We were recommended by Gary Hart, Hartscape Company complete landscape construction to contact Andy de young first to design and provide full drawing for our entire new front yard, driveway, waterfalls, lighting, tiered water fall, seating area, specific trees, specific plants, color theme we wanted and specific placement of pillars and our address. We lived here for 31 years and ready to invest in our front yard to enjoy for many years to come. So we called Andy. Andy arrived on time and was extremely pleasant and professional. We shared with him the life style of entertaining, friendly, colorful, seating, meeting many families in our front yard and wanted it inviting and welcoming, he asked questions, took photos, and said it would take about 2 two weeks to have the design prepared. To our surprise, Andy call within one week and came back to meet with us and sit down together and go over the entire design and explain everything to us. Andy drew up a very creative design that addressed all of our needs in a design we could never have conceived by ourselves. He then drew it to scale and labelled everything. I made some changes whle we were together and he went back to his home office to make the changes and sent us a copy email the next day. I called Andy and he returned my call. I asked him if he could print out two copies of the updated design to keep and share with our family and neighbors. Andy stopped by our house two days later to deliver us two updated copies. Great service and always on time and such a professional. It was worth the investment for us. We sent the design to our landscaper Gary Hart. I have also heard from many neighbors, friends that his designs were among the best and they hoped they could be the ones to bring them to life. The bottom line is this: Andy is extremely talented. He does exactly what is expected with a creative flair that is unique. He is easy to work with, likable, and 100% professional."

"Roman, the owner, showed up right on time. His two man work crew was right behind him. They planned the lay-out of the lighting fixtures and got right to work. Roman gave us some expert advice on installing the remote control as opposed to a wall switch. His advice really helped us make a decision and we went with the remote control unit in the ceiling fan. The crew was very professional and helped move all of the furniture in and out of the living room. They laid down a huge drop cloth that covered the whole floor. They completed the job in a very timely manner and left our house neat and clean. We will definitely contact Roman again at Advanced Electric in Simi Valley, CA for future electrical work. "We moved into our home over the summer. In a corner of the back yard, we have a fish pond that was installed by the previous owners. While my husband was doing yard work behind the pond, he sliced the electrical cord to the pump which runs the waterfall feature.  I called around to several electrical companies looking for someone to come out and see if they could repair or replace the electrical cord.  I was told by several other companies I would have to wait several days before appointments were available.  Since the pond is stocked with about 20 fish, it was important to us to resolve this quickly. <br /> City Lights Electric responded to my message on Angie's List about repairing/ replacing the electrical cord to the pump of our fish pond within an hour.  We scheduled the service the next morning. Anthony arrived at the appointed time and performed the service quickly.  He answered all my husband's questions regarding the repair as well as giving some additional  information regarding an outlet that keeps tripping to the refrigerator in our garage due to the Christmas lights we have on the same circuit.  We plan on having the outlet replaced by Anthony after the holidays. "They are fabulous people. We called him in the morning and he was there that afternoon and tweaked it up. The price was reasonable. They put in a new socket and rewired the lighting fixture. He's very good, he does a lot of walking through and sometimes he will make suggestion. He doesn't try to dis-sway you but he does give you information so you can make intelligent decisions. He would tell me if what I have is adequate for what I want to do instead of just trying to make money from extra work. It's an old house from the late 1950s so I had him add more lines."
