"The Joses—Junior and Senior—along with the on-site manager, Elvis, took great care of us in painting our nearly 100 year old duplex home. They finished ahead of schedule and did a fantastic job following our more-complicated-than-usual historic painting plan. Our building looks so good that I have been asked by multiple neighbors who did the amazing paint job. I have referred all of them to Jose!"

"I had 4 estimates for my project and Brushworks was the best price. Kevin was the lead paimter for my project and he was very responsive to my needs. We discussed all aspects of the work and he was easy to work with. He was dedicated to making sure that I was totally satisfied with the finished product. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to my friends."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Santa Margarita, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
