"Mike is hands down the best contractor we have ever hired. The previous owners of our house had done some beautiful and expensive hardscaping and landscaping probably 40 years ago, but it was all badly in need of renovation when we bought the house a few years ago. We wanted to restore it all and make a few improvements rather than start over, and Mike was fully on board with that approach from the moment he arrived. All I had to do was show him what needed to be addressed, and he immediately knew the right way to handle everything, including how to address all our concerns about pitch and drainage, since our property slopes down from the street. He restored our property and made it even more beautiful that we imagined it could be. In particular, he had the idea of covering our existing concrete walkways and steps with blue stone instead of demolishing and pouring new concrete--it cost about the same, is gorgeous, and goes perfectly with house and front yard area. Not only does he have a great crew, but he was at our house almost every day checking their work, having them fix details that weren't to his standards, and walking me through what was done and what would be done next. "Our backyard was in need of a redo: We struggled to grow grass, and we wanted a space that would accommodate a trampoline and a small garden, as well as a dining table and sitting area, but still feel green and lush. After meeting with a few landscapers who suggested we get rid of the trampoline, rip up our existing brick patio and put pavers everywhere, we met Alisa from Motti's team. As a landscape designer, she really listened to what we wanted, and had great ideas for how to incorporate it all, as well as suggestions for garden planters and furniture. A week after our meeting, we got detailed plans that showed us just what the yard would look like, as well as what plants would look and work best. We then worked with Motti to tweak the plans, finalize the budget, and pick out materials, etc., and we were able to schedule the project within a few weeks time. Once the job started, Motti's team of workers were professional and efficient, and Motti stopped by daily to check the progress.
