"Simply Excellent Service! I was referred to contact Brent of B. Griffith Roofing by my father-in-law who has had two roofs replaced over the years using them. My job was not your typical tear-off and replace to say the least. I had a good amount of hidden damage that was covered up by a previous owner. I needed to go with an outfit that has the experience and track record to handle this level of job. Based on my meeting with Brent and his explanation of what they would be able to do to fix what was needed prior to replacement of the roof, as well as previous family experiences, I felt this was the outfit I needed to use. I received the proposal the following day, costs were clearly stated, including any additions if needed. Once I agreed to the proposal and provided the deposit, things moved very quickly, which I really appreciated. Within a week I had a permit on my door and a crew on my roof. "Excellent! From the estimate process through the final walk around, ever person I was in contact with were professional, timely, and clearly knew what they were doing. Roof looks great, clean up was great and at completion, I pointed out a couple of minor items which they resolved on the spot. I even noticed a small tear in a window screen after they left, they had a screen repair guy at my house the same day. Not the cheapest out there (I got three quotes), but you get what you pay for (including a 15 year warranty which no one else came close to). Cost included replacement of 2 skylights, which we are thrilled with. Highly recommend them."

"Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"

"Keith Powers and his crew at American Commercial Construction and Development did an excellent job on my recent roof replacement. The job was done promptly and professionally. His crew was courteous and cleaned up all debris during the job and after it was finished. Keith kept me informed through out the process as to what I should expect. I requested that Keith and his crew replace both my home roof and my dock roof. I considered the dock roof particularly challenging but Keith and his crew were able to complete both jobs in four working days to my satisfaction. "We recently had an unfortunate pin-hole leak in a water pipe in our ceiling which resulted in an insurance claim involving water damaged sheet rock, insulation, tile, and miscellaneous electrical component, removal and replacement of all damaged items to their original state. After removing the water damaged components, the area was "blown dry" for several days to prevent any mold growth.
Ray was asked to evaluate and bid for the restoration evaluation process. He arrived on-time for our estimate appointment and was friendly and professional and very attentive to our needs in his evaluation of our requests. We asked Ray to provide a breakdown of costs involving:
1. Replace ceiling sheet rock and insulation, including recessed lighting fixtures and possible electrical components.
2. Since the kitchen wall was damaged due to the water pipe leak, we asked for a separate estimate to replace our existing sliding glass doors and sliding glass windows with energy efficient double pane fixtures. We stated that this estimate would be outside of the realm of insurance coverage, and would be at our expense.

3. Replace the kitchen wall sheet rock and tile. Prime and paint the ceiling and wall.
4. All phases and estimates would include clean-up costs and final payment would be issued upon my inspection and acceptance of all work done.
Ray provided the detailed estimate on time via email.
We chose another contractor/restoration firm based on the estimates provided and the insurance coverage. If we choose to proceed with our opportunity to remodel, we may still choose Ray for the additional sliding glass door and sliding glass window replacement.
I hope we made the right decision by choosing the lower, insurance based,  replacement estimate!
