"One technician did all the work on two seperate days.  They were prompt and arrived early on the days they said they would.   The tech seemed very knowledgeable of the product and what to expect out of it. Our deck wraps around end of our house and 75% of the back.  The end has a roof over it while the remaining deck is open.  Total size is 10x12 covered and 12x40 across the back.   There are two sets of stairs.  One goes towards the front of the house and the other drops down to the paver patio under the 12x40 section.  Also, there is a roof/gutter system under about 12x30 feet of the back deck.  This drains water from above and keeps the patio underneath dry.  The roof and guttering are white so there is a need to keep stain from this also. The sealing staining was pretty decent but could be better.   There were missed spots near the ground on the support posts.   The balisters on our deck are black powder coated aluminum.   Many of the balisters have overspray on them.  Not bad but it does detract from the sharp contrast of the black against the cedar colored deck.  There was also some overspray on the brick pavers under the deck that form the lower patio.  Again, not a large amount and most people probably wouldn't notice it.  But some of the pavers have an orange tint to them, expecially around the base of the support posts. When this work was done, the weather turned cold and has remained below freezing for extended periods.  Since the stain is water based, it would not be able to be reapplied during these temperatures.   We didn't call Renew Crew and decided to wait until warmer weather of spring for touch up and some cleaning of the overspray.  I am sure they would make it right and I think most will be fairly easy to do.    I would probably use them again, just make sure it was prepped a bit better and more thorough cleanup.   If the deck was all wood(including balisters) and grass or dirt underneath instead of brick pavers, it would have been a much easier job to do."

"The estimate and the people doing it was good. They knew what they were talking about and took their time. They said the work would start early February before they can start, which is fine its no rush. But we would appreciate if they could just give us a date. My wife has chased them down and they haven't gotten back to her. Just keep us in the loop, we shouldn't have to chase them down. We understand if the weather delayed or a set back. Its not hard to make a call or send an email."

"Bradford at KC Exterior was very helpful in providing replacement options and researching our need to add extra sound proofing to the windows because we live on a busy street with distracting traffic noise. They installed Anderson 100 series windows which were an affordable option and qualify as Energy Star windows. The work was started on the projected date and finished the next day. We love the look of the new windows and they easily open and self lock. The traffic noise and other outdoor noise distractions have been reduced by about half. <br />"

"They were very punctual and professional. We were always called when they were going to be rained out or had weather delays, which we appreciated. When not contacted by service professionals you tend to think you are forgotten and these people stay in touch so you don't wonder if that is the case. The deck looks really nice. <br /> <br />09/14/15-Returned to power wash vinyl siding: Great job at a great price!"

"Everything was done on time, to spec and he was flexible on last minute changes, even was willing to replace cove base in the garage. We purchased the materials, he provided the expendables and labor. He had additional assistance from family members. Total payment was made at the completion and final inspection of the project! Awesome policy! <br /> One drawback was during demolition. There was no dust abatement measures applied so our whole house had grout dust everywhere. Some visquine hanging over the doorways would have helped. <br />"

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Savannah, MO

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
