"JCB does excellent work, they are quality craftsmen. They do the work quickly but thoroughly. Jack is one of the most trustworthy person that I have found in the building/service industry. Jack will problem-solve and guide us as needed but never "up-sells" unnecessarily. And JCB is a full-service contractor. Recently, they painted, replaced all the rotting wood on the exterior of our house, among other things. In the past, they have replaced a wall damaged by a water leak, refinished our basement and painted the entire interior of our house. I trust them implicitly."

Overall we are very satisfied with the work. It didn't take long for John to review our initial drawings and issue a quote and get the job scheduled. Between the time we scheduled the job and when work actually began we made some changes to the plans and John and his guys were able to accommodate. They also found some relatively shoddy workmanship from the builders of our townhome and did their best to point out areas that needed attention. The initial demo and framing went very well and moved quickly. After demo and framing there were times when communication wasn't the best and there were many days when work wasn't done and we weren't kept up to date on the schedule, which I understand is very typical for this type of job and not unique to John and his guys. I do wish he would have used a different electrician. He was pretty messy and rarely showed up and we still have some minor flickering with the lights in our master bedroom. The finishes are excellent and John's tile work was very good. The custom vanity they built for our master is excellent and it's fits perfectly. The shower glass is just what we wanted. Overall I was vey happy with the outcome despite some minor frustrations with the process. I would definitely call John again for other major jobs.

Mick and Frank showed up promptly at 8:30.  We discussed what needed to be done, which was to add 4 lights in the kitchen ceiling and an exterior outlet.

They first study the house to make certain that they could add the ceilings in the light, since there was no electricity to where we needed the lights installed.  Once they determined that they could add the electricity to the area they were very particular to make certain that they protected my countertop and made certain that we moved anything that could get damaged.

It was particularly challenging for them since the house has plaster walls/ceilings as opposed to drywall.

They then measured everything for accuracy and began installing the lights.  As the work was progressing they would keep me apprised of their progress and what they were doing so I fully understood the process.

When the work was completed in the kitchen they cleaned up all the dust from cutting holes in the ceiling and put all the garbage in the outside bin.

The exterior outlet went very fast and they did a similar great job there.

"I am a small time real estate investor and have hired many tradesmen throughout the years. Only three times in my life have I been 100% satisfied with a job. Two of those three times were when I hired Nyberg exteriors. (The other was when I hired a friend of mine to rewire a building) Nybery put a new roof on my English tudor home in Prospect Heights many years ago. It was a very complex roof with many peaks and valleys and very steep. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than Nyberg did. When I sold the house 15 or 20 years later, the roof was still in perfect condition and it still looked brand new. About a year ago I needed a new roof on my Northbrook house. I am happy to say they are still every bit as good as they were all those years ago. I would tell anyone, you cannot find a better roofer than Nyberg. Amazingly their prices were very reasonable also."
