"Finding a reliable landscaper was tricky because I live 300 miles from the inherited house. I found Mancera Brothers on Angie's List. Whenever I went to Chicago to work on the house, the lawn and shrubbery always looked clean. Mancera was the second landscaper with whom I worked on the house, and I was favorably impressed by their prices. My realtor said Mancera was very reasonable and in fact planned to ask them if they covered the area in which she lived. Doro communicated promptly via email and was always courteous on the phone.

"Standard work, the fertilizer and weed treatment was outstanding. Very efficient and effective. The aeration and seeding were another issue. Required multiple phone calls and monitoring. It would seem that the staff have communication and followthrough problems when there is a variation from standard. I wanted only one section of the lawn to have a double aeration and seeding. That took four phone calls to get done. Aeration was supposed to be done and was not for several weeks during the extended dry spell. Was told to water the lawn for twenty minutes and they would be there on Monday. Spent the weekend moving a sprinkler around the 1/4+ acre lot to meet the specs. No one came for the next entire week! Called again on Friday and finally showed up on the next Monday. Have signed a contract for both aeration, weed treatment, and fertilizer for 2018 because was very happy with the basic package. But if there are similar problems with the aeration next year, will not be renewing for 2019"

"Work was completed over a couple days. The crew arrived within the agreed time frame. John communicated if he thought things would run longer or earlier than expected. The company requests 50% of project cost to be paid when half the job is finished and full payment at completion. John's crew was hard-working and friendly. I felt John was professional, honest, and courteous. They have competitive pricing. The tip I'd give is be very specific about how you want things done. John recorded my instructions on his phone. I felt assured his team would complete all tasks we discussed. They did a great job!"

"After the first service they sold out to Trugreen. After the first service the lawn appeared perky and weeds were curling up. After Trugreen took over. They have been late on treatments. We've had to call they haven't communicated. The lawn doesn't appear perky. Weeds don't look like they are fazed. Based on the delayed schedule they are not likely to get in all the treatments we prepaid for. Disappointed."
