Small jobs welcome

"Alex removed our existing concrete patio, installed a paver patio, and rebuilt a stone wall. He and his crew were courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable, paying great attention to detail. Alex was also very accommodating, meeting us at a stone yard to help pick out materials. We highly recommend Alex Masonry and would definitely hire them again."

I chose the business Kayan LLC. I had the estimate of the work on hand the next day. Attractive price of the work. Short terms of work. Good quality with a subsequent guarantee."

"Justin and his team did an amazing job on our patio! They were professionals throughout the entire process with clear communication. The project began and was completed on time. The price was competitive and the quality was worth every penny. Justin adhered to the estimate he gave us and even added a granite step to complete the cost at no cost! Couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and results. Thank you! Would highly recommend to anyone!"

"Jay did a great job installing a multi-level paver patio and natural stone steps. He provided a quote for the job very quickly and completed the job within the promised time frame. We are very appreciative of Jay's design ideas and detailed workmanship. He always responded to our inquiries in a timely manner and was very accommodating of our schedule. It was a real pleasure dealing with Jay on this project. No stress and no hassles. The patio turned out great."

"Provider did Lawn Mowing and Trimming for April thru October. Service was performed on-schedule during the entire season; more frequently (weekly) during the active growing season and less frequently (every 10 to 14 days) when lawn growth slowed during the heat of summer. Economical because you pay by the month for the service(s) performed; $200 for a month of weekly mowings and $100 for a month of biweekly mowings. <br />"

"I had initially tried to contact Hyde Park Landscape to inquire about some repair work I need to have done on my water garden. It isn't a huge job, but it is one that requires someone who knows what they're doing. I have since gotten some other estimates that put the job at $250-500 depending upon the hours involved. <br /> The first message was sent through Angie's List. The company seemed to have some good reviews, and they are pretty close by, so it appeared to be a good match for the job. I waited a few days and heard nothing back from them, so I called them on the phone. I got no answer, so I left a message explaining what the job was about and what I needed from them. Again I got no response. I tried one final time to reach them through Angie's List. <br /> It has now been 10 days since my last attempt and no one has ever contacted me. <br /> It really is a shame when a company treats potential customers this way. I have other plans for my property - some that would involve repair/maintenance (stone walls, terracing, steps, etc.) and some that would require a more significant investment (design and build a deck). Regardless of the size or cost of a job, I wouldn't want to be dealing with a company that can't be bothered to offer the simple courtesy of returning a telephone call or responding to an email message. <br /> <br /> 7/9/14 <br /> While it took them nearly three weeks to reply to my messages, they offered some explanation for the delay when they responded. I would like to believe that they were genuinely having trouble accessing the information and would not want to assess them on the single experience. I put a lot of stock in the ratings that are given on Angie's List, and this company has done fairly well from what I've seen of their reviews. That being said, I would consider giving them another try if a suitable job were to come up in the future."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Scotland, CT

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
