"Mr. Blaney and his crew did a simply outstanding job with all aspects of the design and installation of a new landscape for our front and side yard. We had several project goals for a mature yard (new to us): water drainage off of our flat lot, root barrier for a large red oak; removal of overgrown plants, 3 trees, and tons of loose river rock; simplified flower bed design, stone edging for aesthetics and to reduce weeds; and plants better adapted to our property conditions. Mr. Blaney’s experience and artistry came together to address all our goals. He is a master with stone and rock! We have beautiful beds, a large patio, sidewalk, and a new front porch that is just a jewel. His crew was very reliable, experienced, fast, and just awesome masons. The work was done according to the plan we all agreed to; there were no financial surprises. Plus, it was a lot of fun working with these folks – they are so good at what they do and are passionate about the quality of their work. We are thoroughly delighted with our new yard and look forward to working with Blaney Stonework again, on our backyard."

"If you want honesty, integrity, and professionalism, then you want to call Marmolejo Brick and Stone Services. After watching several videos on YouTube, I convinced myself that I could expand my patio using paver stones. I bought all the materials but realized that my ambition was larger than my skills. I received a couple of job inquiries where they were more interested in up selling me and not using what I had purchased. However, when I got a response from Marmolejo Brick and Stone Services, Christopher assured me that he would be happy to give me a reasonable price to do the job. He came the next day after contact, looked over the area as well as assessed the materials I already had. He gave me a very reasonable quote and stated there was only one thing I was missing. On the day of installation he arrived fifteen minutes earlier than promised and immediately started. He was meticulous in his installation and respectful of my property as he worked. I m ecstatic over the results and look forward to deco rating and enjoying the area. I highly recommend Marmolejo Brick and Stone Services. Thank you Christopher."

Customers say: True professional

"Chris was very professional and offered a good price to repair some brick on a patio area. I hired a different company only because they provided a 5 year warranty and had better access to match existing brick with replacements. I know Chris has the experience and would definitely recommend them to others to evaluate their projects."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Seagoville, TX

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
