He took one look at our pond, told us the renovation job would be far more expensive than a new dig even though there was hardly any new excavating and we had several tons of usable stone – he asked how much our budget was and we asked simply what the cost was: $15k…to replace the liner and other components, reuse our stone, do almost no digging, and re-build a waterfall. No thank you. Back to Google I went, and this time I found Backyard Blessings, and it truly was a Blessing that I did. We went to Marc’s store on a Sunday. Marc personally showed us around the ponds and talked to us about what we wanted, and what problems we currently had in our pond that we wanted to solve. Marc came out two days later and took a look at our pond and he provided written estimate to us the next day after that. A week later, Marc and Nate came to our house and renovated our pond. They were timely, efficient, and industrious; best of all their work was meticulous. I flip houses for a living, and I have dealt with some lazy contractors that had zero attention to detail; you will not have that issue with Marc and his crew. You’ll get solid work from a team of professionals that are experienced and dedicated to building a quality product. My wife and I finally have the back yard experience that we were looking for and for a reasonable price. I wish I had found Backyard Blessings at the beginning of my search. Installing or renovating a Koi pond isn’t cheap, but if you have it done right by a company that isn’t trying to gouge you for the price, it doesn’t have to break the bank either. I would highly recommend Backyard Blessings to my family and closest friends if they were in search of a water feature! Thanks for the great work!"

"We used Metzger's before, and were happy with them, although they were a little pricey. This was in October, several years ago, and the service was very quick. This year, due to work demands, my asthma, (and the fact that my husband and I are very bad at gardening), we decided to hire them again. I called for an estimate at the end of April/beginning of May, when I knew we would have the funds. I received an estimate on May 5, and agreed to it around May 7-8. I was aware that I had made arrangments a little late in the game, and realized that there would be a wait. I also realized that any bad weather would knock us back, and that we were a small job. That being said, I didn't really think that it would be nearly August before anyone showed up. Unfortunately, my job was such that I couldn't do a lot about our yard in the meantime, and so this wait became somewhat frustrating. I was tempted to call in someone else, but felt that that would be violating an oral contract, and a little unfair. I called 3 times over this period, and always received a call back. Once the crew showed up, however, they were fast, polite, and did a great job. I would hire them again, and recommend them, but with the caveat that for seasonal work, it's best to make arrangements early in the season. I may use someone else for time-sensitive jobs. <br />"

"I would HIGHLY recommend Mascari for any landscaping or yard work!!  When I first met with Brian- he listened to what I had envisioned - and  promptly came back  with a drawing that was exactly what I hoped for.  He scheduled a start date- and they showed up on that date! (unlike many other contractors)  He gave me an estimate on the time to complete the project - and he was off by one day -but they had 2 rain days when they could not work  :)   <br />  I can not say enough POSITIVE  things about this company- the entire crew was professional, very hard working, knowledgeable and they showed up every day ready to work.  The crew obviously has a lot of respect for each other and the talents they have- they were very personable yet professional.  They kept me updated on their progress and frequently asked me to approve of what they were doing. They showed respect for our property and tried not to interfere with our daily routine.   <br /> The finished project is better than I even dreamed it would be.  Brian made excellent suggestions to enhance the project - he is a perfectionist and it shows in his work.  The quality of their work is OUTSTANDING!!  I have nothing but praise for this company and will use them again on future projects. <br />"

When we had a couple of "glitches" on the day of install, the installers really bent over backwards to make things right. He even made extra trips out to our house the next day."
