Arrived promptly to install (Saturday labor rates was higher than during week days/$120 vs $180, but I chose to have it done Sat).. <br />  Install was efficient/and tested (& he cleaned up after completion) before he and his assistant left. Very courteous and efficient. <br />  I would use MODERN PLUMBING  again for related repairs or home modifications. Estamate was $327.98 and  final charge/paid was $339.03 with tax & ANGIES LIST customer discount of 10%. <br /> <br />"

"Great! I'm not gonna lie, Bruce's hourly rate might be more expensive than what you are expecting. But I chose him because of another review that mentioned his expertise in doors. His professionalism, attention to detail, and completely pleasant demeanor convinces me I made the right decision. Despite his hourly rate, I believe he saved me money by suggesting swapping out doors, rather than buying pre-framed or custom doors, which I assumed I would have to do. And his relationship with Sunnyvale Lumber (a company I have shied away from in the past because I thought they catered only to professionals), made this a painless process (I should probably write an additional positive review for Sunnyvale Lumber). Maybe due to his relationship with Sunnyvale Lumber, they were very responsive to me. I had new doors installed within 4 weeks of ordering them (which included Sunnyvale Lumber's lead-time + Bruce's availability). The total cost was < $1200, which is less than I got quoted from other vendors (for custom + pre-framed doors with NO installation), and a much shorter lead time. I have not used Bruce for other work yet, but he is very aware that you might be on a budget, and suggested some inexpensive options (that he knew would not involve him) for some additional work I was considering. Bruce strikes me as an honest and highly communicative vendor, who is in it for the long haul, and cares about his long-term reputation. I would use him again & recommend him to others."

"I had called 06/07/2015 to the 24 hour line, due to our air conditioner blowing out warm air. They came out the following day and checked our air conditioner out and saw we had a freon leak. He gave us all our options for it, and we went with replacing the whole system. They placed the order for us, and it took about 4 business days to get the system ordered in. They came out the following week to replace the whole unit. It took them about 4-5 hours to completely finish the whole system replacement. They were very fast, a good price and the customer service was fantastic! We will use them for our complete check ups from now on. and we recommend them highly. <br />"

"The company was recommended by a flooring company that I trust. I called them one morning and, after I had initially scheduled their first available appointment for a day or two later, the plumber (Scott) was able to come by later the same day. The plumber evaluated the work, discussed cost-performance tradeoffs for the leaking valves and sink drain accessories, purchased the parts, and installed them and connected the sink and faucet. The work was completed in about 2 hours (including the time taken to buy parts). The system so far has been problem-free. The plumber worked very efficiently and was always helpful and courteous. He also was happy to take a few minutes (at no charge) to explain to me how to take care of some minor plumbing connection and repair issues on my own, as well as to give rough estimates for some larger plumbing work I was considering. <br /> The charge was on a time-and-materials basis, at $85/hr for labor. I don’t know if this is a typical labor rate, so I didn’t provide a rating for price. <br />"

We will call him early in the morning and he always responds that day whether it is early that day or late at night. He is average on pricing and his work is very good."
