"The project went as planned. The crew arrived Monday, removed the old fence and dug holes for the new fence posts. Tuesday, they set the new posts in concrete. Wednesday, attached the cross members, and Thursday completed the fence. Friday morning finished hanging the very heavy gate and completing the job. <br /> A couple of additional comments: <br /> Blacksmith Fence rebuilt our cedar pool equipment enclosure that was destroyed in a storm for no charge after originally quoting a price in the initial quote. Additionally, they unexpectedly repainted not only the replaced driveway gate post, but the entire gate and existing post on the other side of the driveway at no charge. <br /> Generally, the workers arrived after we left for work in the morning and were gone by the time we returned home in the evening. I considered that a plus as we enjoy our evenings outside. <br /> I originally contacted Blacksmith Fence in April 2012 for a quote. I delayed scheduleing the job until September 2012. During this time, Ty stayed in contact and was prepared to start the job at my convenience. <br /> Very happy with the quality and professionalism. We chose this contractor solely based on the Angie's list reviews. We would use them again. <br /> <br /> Update 10/28/2012: If you want a privacy fence, make sure you specify no gaps between slats. After my initial favorable review of my fence, I realized the slats were places 1/4 to 3/8 apart. Not ideal when you want a privacy fence. I realize there are variances in the wood slats, but most of our slats were installed with a very large gap. When dealing with this vendor, make sure the slats are installed tight in the upfront negotiations. This is not something you can fix after the work is done. <br /> <br />"

"My garge door spring broke on Sunday morning. I initially called Welborn who installed my garage door and has done work for me in the past. Someone from their call center answered, but they would not even tell me the approximate cost to replace two springs. I checked Angie's List and saw the positive review for All Pro Garage Doors, so I called and Travis, the owner answered. Travis was a pleasure to deal with. He answered my questions over the phone, provided an estimated cost to replace the springs (explaining that the weight of the door will impact the price and that there may be other issues only indentifiable after an inspection), told me the cost of emergancy service as it was a Sunday (very reasonable) and an estimate of when he could arrive. Travis arrived earlier than he estimated and had my door up an running just 2 hours after I called him on Sunday morning. He replaced two springs and provided a tune-up. Very professional, great communication, very fair prices. I am very please with the service and highly recommend All Pro Garage Doors."

"These guys are nice, courteous. They fix the problem. Prices are fine.  However, only if you can get ahold of someone. I've left messages over and over for this company because my gate has broken down three times in the past 6 months and no one responds. When I do get someone, they will say things like "I can come on Wednesday" and refuse to give you a time window. When they call me on Wednesday and i'm out *running the one vital quick errand i need to run that day and I can be home in 15 minutes!* they said they'd reschedule me for over a week later.  Maybe they treat me this way because I'm a woman? I dont know. It's happened more than once. But I'm a full time physician and I have two small kids. Sorry my schedule isn't wiiiiiiide open for ya. Lost my business. <br /> <br /> Edit: I got a call from the company saying they attempted to call me many times but had a wrong number. I'm not sure if this is the case because i've only given them one number. Maybe there was some communication error.  I appreciate them following up and improved my score."

"I called to discuss a problem with the door. They immediately tried to sell me a maintenance visit then said they would come and look at it.They called the day before the appointment and said they had someone in the area, but I was unable to make the appointment. There was a two hour window for the appointment that they missed. I called and they said they got tied up at the warehouse, but that they were almost ready to head my way and could be there in an hour. I asked them how did they know that if they haven't left yet and were already late. When I had the door installed, the installer kept trying to up-sell me on options. I didn't think much of this until my warranty call when they immediately tried to sell me a service option. So now I'm stuck with having to get warranty from a company that wants to charge for warranty service, and doesn't show up. Initial and final experiences were good, but a rough spot in-between."

Colby (the owner) spent much time with me answering my questions regarding the motor for the gate, the warranty, and many other aspects of the project. The office manager was also very helpful to me as I was trying to schedule the project, which included powder coating the existing gate. The crew who installed the posts, gate, and motor were very customer friendly, did a thorough job, and were experienced in their trade. After the installation was complete, another person on the team programmed my gate and provided me more knowledge about the box and programming.
