The dirt delivered was brown and well sifted. There were not many rocks at all. Let me throw out a disclaimer. This isn't pitch black organic dirt you'd buy in an expensive 20-pound bag from Home Depot. It is GOOD dirt. I don't think I'd utilize it to start an organic, high-quality garden, but my wife and I purchased this truckload to grade away from the entire foundation of our entire home. I'm placing that disclaimer in because I've read a lot of poor reviews given by individuals who seem to be whole-heartedly disappointed they aren't getting ultra-premium black-as-the-night-sky organic dirt. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Dand D Excavating and Landscape Service, Inc. did everything we asked and then some... they were a pleasure to do business with and I would gladly recommend them to any of my friends and family. "Brett came out several weeks ago to provide an estimate and I scheduled a service time. Brett and his team arrived on schedule and Brett confirmed with me exactly what work was to be done. Over the course of the job he made several suggestions that improved upon what I thought I wanted done (making the end result more appealing). Brett is highly skilled at his job and very knowledgeable when it comes to tree care. Both trees look much better after the work was done. Brett's team did a good job cleaning up after the job, removing all of the cut branches from the property and sweeping the small debris. The team was friendly and professional and I highly recommend them."

"They were high-priced but they were good. They did an excellent job on the trees I had, which could have crushed my house and they figured out a way to take them out without damaging it. They were really punctual, they were also first to respond in our village and they have been to our house in the middle of the night twice, when I was having a heart attack. I can't speak much for their landscaping but they are good people. I found another company that might be on the ballpark quality wise and cheaper in pricing, so I don't know if I would use them again or not."

"we built a swing set for our boys and we needed to put the washed pea gravel. when i called them and asked about woodchips and told them my concerns about how often we would have to replace it as well as for drainage because our backyard holds a lot of water she had suggested the pea gravel. i am so glad i did that instead of dealing with wood chips. they were so nice and i called and the next day they had it delivered. i asked if they could put it in two piles one in the front yard and one in the backyard and they said not a problem. they were so nice to work with. i would use them again. thank you so much you made two little boys so happy."
