Customers say: Quick response

"Borrell’s Cleaning Service did a fantastic job deep cleaning our house . Wendy and her assistant showed up ready to go on an inclement weather day that caused most school districts to call for a two hour delay or closure. They did an impressive job dusting and vacuuming every room. They were very attentive to detail when cleaning the bathroom tile, showers, cabinet doors, drawers, toilets, counter tops ,and mirrors. Banisters, railings, windowsills, baseboards and door frames were thoroughly cleaned. Let’s not forget the lampshades, microwave, refrigerator front and stove top. I can’t say enough good things about Borrell’s Cleaning Services. You will not be disappointed if you hire Borrell’s Cleaning Services. "

"They were very nice and accommodating but, at the same time hard to reach over email. The day before the scheduled clean I had to ask what time they would be arriving. I was told between 6-7am and they did not arrive until 9am. This was upsetting as we had vacated the house prior to 6am. The cleaning they did was well done but they missed areas. They did not do the exterioir of the kitchen appliances or the kitchen sink, and they completely missed an entire half bath. Overall they were nice to talk to and changed the cleaning date when I asked, and the areas they cleaned were done well. But the late arrival and missing of areas left a bad taste."

FAQs for post construction clean up projects in Shrewsbury, PA

Plan on one hour of cleaning for every 100 to 200 square feet. That means a two-to-four-person crew will spend eight to 12 hours on a full-size home.

Your pro will walk the space first, size it up, and give you a more precise timeline to be sure every lofty ceiling, baseboard, and tight corner gets the same white-glove attention.

Cleaning fine dust after construction requires a combined approach of detailed dusting and high‐powered vacuuming. Begin by wiping high surfaces such as ceiling fans, walls, window sills, and countertops to eliminate deposited particles. Next, vacuum all floors, carpets, and hard surfaces and mop afterward to remove residual dust. Finally, clean HVAC returns, supply vents, and replace filters to ensure a completely dust‐free environment.

You’ll need safety gear and heavy-duty tools. At minimum, you should wear a respirator, eye protection, and work gloves. Then, bring in a HEPA-filter shop vac, wet mops, microfiber cloths, and a carpet shampooer to lift dust from every surface.

Pros also keep extra filters and trash bags on hand so they can swap them out mid-job and keep the cleanup running smoothly from start to finish.

Book your post-construction cleanup for one to two days after the last tool leaves the site. That 24- to 48-hour buffer lets dust settle so the crew can snag every speck in one visit.

Touch base with your contractor before you lock in a date; if their punch-list slips, you’ll want to shift the cleaning slot to avoid costly rescheduling and make sure the house is truly move-in ready.
