We had several roofing companies come by and check it out and by far T & G Roofing gave us the most comprehensive description of what needed to be done, how they were going to do it, and what it was going to cost us. Mike Cernile came to our home for the inspection, and had the quote back to us within a couple of days. He was very good at describing what was wrong with the current roof and what would be required to re-roof the home. He was the ONLY person among all the companies we talked to who described where the trucks would need to park and what damage that might cause to our yard, which my wife and I were very thankful for as there were no surprises the days the crews came to do the work. The tear-off was over in less than a day, and the roofing crew was there the very next day to start the work. The entire project was completed quickly and efficiently, with all the work being permitted and inspected. We are very satisfied with the roof we received from T & G."

"I have known Steve for almost 20 years so I was already aware of his outstanding work ethic and commitment to his craft. What I didn’t know until AGL did a complete relay of our tile roof was how fair he was, as well. Although I did know him, out of prudence, we had other companies provide bids. Steve’s proposal not only was the most concise, it was also the clearest and easiest to understand. When I called him to ask questions, he was patient and fully explained the answers to me. After also speaking to the other companies, it was an easy call to go with Steve and AGL. While he used superior materials and the latest techniques, he was also the lowest bidder. The actual work took a full week and there was no disappointment here. The crew of five that did the work were conscientious and seemed to really know what they were doing. They cleaned up at the end of every day and bent over backwards to accommodate us. That should have been no surprise as It turns out that, incredibly, the crew had worked together for 15 years and a couple had been with AGL for 20. Steve stopped by almost every day to check on progress and further explain things to us. This is when discovered his fairness. When the inevitable issues arose and some changes to the proposal were necessary, Steve did not take advantage of situation and soak us but charged a fair price. In one case he just included it in the original price. My wife and I are quite pleased and we would highly recommend that you use AGL Roof Co. should you need to replace your roof, as we did. A neighbor who saw AGL working on our house is also planning to use them. He got other bids, as well. His friend that is retired from the roofing industry told him it AGL’s was the most detailed proposal that he had ever seen."

"I was looking into replacing my 20+ yrs tile roof to the Tesla solar roof but after months of waiting (I pre-ordered the solar roof and it was stuck at the design phase), Tesla told me that they no longer serve my area and refunded me the money. As I was looking for an alternative, I came across GAF's solar shingles and I was very interested in them. Guardian Roofs is GAF's certified installer in SoCal area. Larry from Guardian Roofs reached out to me within a day after I filled out the "Request for a Quote" form on GAF's website. Told me about their company and we chatted about my needs for the new roof and solar system. Within the next few days, he sent me a proposal, explained every single detail to me carefully and patiently answered all of my questions and concerns. He truly enjoy working with Larry because he would find out the answers for any questions he wasn't able to answer on the call and actually called me back and explained them to me thoroughly. I called/emailed six roofing companies/contractors, only four responded within the first week with a quote. The quote from Guardian Roofs was the second lowest (cheaper than Tesla's solar roof). The other three quotes were traditional solar panels and reroof using the existing tiles. I quickly decided to go Guardian Roof's quote not only it's much cheaper than Tesla's solar roof, but their panels also looked much nicer than the traditional ones. My only concern was that without the space between the rack and roof, how would the heat generated by the panels being released? I asked Larry this question and he explained to me but I didn't quite understand, so I asked the owner, Justin, the same question during the installation and he explained to me by showing me the actual products. Turned out the combination of the underlaying sheet, GAF's Timberline Shingles and the actual panels were playing a big part in handling the heat. The installation took a week to complete. I'm very pleased that the owner himself actually came out a couple of days and climbed on the roof to make sure everything was done correctly. He was also there to answer all of my questions about the job. Additionally, GAF sent a technician from the San Jose headquarter to oversee the installation of the panels. Not the mention William (the lead installer from Guardian Roofs) and his crew did a great job cleaning up the area after the job was completed."

"Amit and his crew did a great job installing a brand new cool roof, as the 30 year-old shingles that comprised our previous roof were curling up and on their last legs. I was able to get a rebate from LADWP at the rate of 20 cents per square foot contingent on the new roof meeting the threshold for minimum reflectivity. It cost $12,570; I got this pricing by getting a competitive quote from another roofing company and then negotiating additional features against that quote like cost of some required additional shiplap wood and plywood, a reflective radiant barrier on the underside of the roof visible from inside the garage, extra thick material under the shingle tiles themselves and over the plywood, replacement of flashings, etc. Amit was very honest, responsible and reliable throughout the process. The quality of the roof work was great. However, there was debris that came down on the attic floor after the days of pounding. When we requested that he return with his crew to clean up the debris, he reported that this often happened but that he was not responsible to do any cleaning as stated in his contract. Following the work, I noticed that in the attic there were quite a few nails that were poking down through the ceiling; I told him it was dangerous to walk there due the possibility that these sharp nails could injure someone. He agreed to return and bend back those protruding nails so that they were no longer a hazard. Overall he did a superior job at a reasonable price. I would hire him again."

I recently had a ventilation fan installed in my bathroom. Once the wiring and fan were in place, Joe came by to install a TPO vent. He also gave me valuable tips for cleaning TPO roofing and pointed out fascia board corners needing touch-up paint. "I called roof repair specialist, on a Saturday afternoon, after we had the heavy rains in Pasadena. I was greeted by Chris and  he helped me set up a appointment for a inspector to come out and check out my leaks.  <br /> We had 3 separate leaks, one of which was unsuccessfully attempted to be repaired by another roofer in the past.  <br /> Peter came out and identified the 3 leaks right away and gave me a estimate on the spot. I decided to go with them as he really knew what he was talking about.
