"TJ was a great electrician to work with. He’s punctual and professional with affordable prices. He’s my go to guy for electrical issues and he even helped with troubleshooting my solar panels issue when another company messed up my install from two years ago. I didnt even know it but he caught it and fixed it. Super impressed."

"New Electric is FANTASTIC. GREAT work and GREAT to work with!!! I was in search of a contractor to do a kitchen electrical upgrade in my 84 year old mother's 1955 home. Jordan, the Denver Service Manager was incredibly responsive, professional and great in communicating. Billy, the electrician gave a quote the very day he scoped the job, plus, he was the guy that did the work, so no "he said, she said". New Electric's pricing was very fair & we hired them immediately. New Electric did an outstanding job for my mom. Billy was dependable, reliable, conscientious, a great problem solver, and willing to do whatever was needed. And critically importantly, he knows his stuff! It's rare to find a contractor these days with whom you are confident leaving in the hands of an elderly parent and knowing the job is getting done properly, professionally, with no surprises! My mom and I can not recommend New Electric highly enough."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Silverthorne, CO

Because installing coax outlets involves working around existing electrical wiring and confirming proper grounding, many homeowners prefer to hire a licensed electrician. A professional completes the work safely, secures the line behind the wall, and ensures the installation meets local code, which reduces the risk of damage or future repairs.

You still need a coaxial outlet for most cable-based internet services. The modem draws its signal from a cable line that terminates at a dedicated wall jack. Once the modem is online, your Wi-Fi router can broadcast the signal throughout the home, so the outlet’s location doesn’t affect wireless performance. If an existing jack is damaged or in an inconvenient spot, an electrician can move it or install a new one to maintain a strong, reliable connection.

Coaxial cable loses signal strength the farther it runs. A 50-foot length introduces noticeable loss, and a 100-foot stretch can drop the signal by roughly 30%. A weaker signal can result in a fuzzy picture or slower internet speeds. To maintain high performance, limit cable length whenever possible, select the correct cable grade, and route it efficiently. If your layout demands an exceptionally long run, an electrician can install an inline amplifier to boost the signal and maintain picture or data quality.
