"I recently hired Gary to upgrade my electrical panel, install new backyard lighting, redo some outdated wiring throughout my home and install a sauna — and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the beginning, he was incredibly professional, communicative, and punctual. He took the time to walk me through the scope of work, explained everything clearly, and provided a fair and transparent estimate. The backyard lighting installation turned out beautifully and as for the wiring, he did a clean and thorough job, correcting issues I didn’t even know existed. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and I really appreciated the attention to detail and safety. Highly recommend Gary if you’re looking for a skilled, trustworthy electrician. "

"Jacob looked at the job, made suggestions that would save me money and gave me an estimate. I agreed and he made an appointment for two days later. He showed up on time and completed the job quickly and professionally. During the process he explained how he upgraded the wiring to be safer and tips on how to get the best results. He charged me the estimated price and cleaned up the area before he left. I am very pleased with the job and the cost. "

"Excellent! They were in and out with a crew in one day. We were replacing under kitchen cabinet fluorescent lights with LED. On one cabinet that sits aline, it gave the optical illusion that it was not as bright as the other sections. Will Martinez the owner, came over on Sunday @ 10 am to fix things South as that it looked as it should. All included in the original estimate and invoice. No Extra Charge. TRUE Customer SERVICE!!!!"

"Great job, fixed outlets and put new fixture. On time and very reasonable rates. Got another estimate and they were far less. Will definitely use again"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Simi Valley, CA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
