They really paid very close attention to detail, nail pops, cracks in the walls, and areas that needed to be chaulked. I was a little anxious before this home project was statrted, but when it was completed I could not have been more pleased. Josh was a fantastic representative. He listened to my what I wanted done, made some very good suggestions on paint color and accent walls. Josh was responsive to my calls, always showed up on time for an appointment, checked in mid-week to see the progress of the job and reassured me that the interior painting would be completed to my satisfaction. "Calico painting recently painted the interior and exterior of our home, and from start to finish I honestly canâ t imagine a better experience. Luis and his team were incredibly professional and communicative - always showing up on schedule, giving accurate time estimates of how long projects would take, responding promptly when we called or texted, and letting us know if there were changes or questions came up. Their work was meticulous, beautiful, and efficient. When unexpected water damage wreaked havoc partway through the project, they jumped right in on the repairs to help keep things on schedule. Throughout our fairly extensive renovation we often commented that Luis was the best person we worked with because he was SO reliable, a great communicator, and his teamâ s work was always high quality. They did beautiful plaster repair, wood staining, cabinets, interior paint, exterior paint, and even some woodworking for us. Luis also helped us troubleshoot issues with other subcontractors on our project. "The Custom Painting of Asheville employees did a fantastic job of painting my mountain wood siding cabin. Prep work is at least as important as the actual painting, and the crew of three spent a day and a half killing the mold with a Clorox solution, pressure washing the whole house and my deck, removing all downspouts and window shutters, scraping off all loose paint, spackling some defects in the window sills, and caulking every seam in the exterior of the cabin. Then they spent another two and a half days painting the house with the kind of expertise and care I have rarely seen. They put down a primer coat on all badly weathered areas and painted the siding and trim twice using only rollers and brushes rather than sprayers, which would have been quicker but not as long lasting. They cleaned the back sides of all downspouts and shutters, painted behind them, and then replaced them. Little masking tape was used because most of the painters are so skilled that they can paint a perfectly straight line free hand with a brush. One of the painters went to the top of a twenty foot extension ladder and replaced my four burned out floodlight bulbs. Without prompting, he also rejuvenated an ancient outdoor bench by sanding off the lichens and staining the wood slats. These guys went well beyond what I expected of them. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for quality house painting."

"After consulting several contractors, we chose Dario and his crew at Custom Painting of Asheville to power wash, paint and clean-up of our 2-story home located on a steep slope. We are very pleased with their 5-star outstanding job. They are professionals who are hardworking, friendly and courteous. They are also fearless as they scaled some of the tallest ladders I’ve ever seen. Dario is very easy to work with. He will listen to your requests and comes through on his promises. "This company was amazing to work with. I had heard horror stories of working with contractors, so I was nervous about this, as it was a lot of money to spend, and we'd just bought the house. They were great, though! <br /> <br /> They even changed the color of one of the rooms at my request (we covered the cost of the new paint, of course) and didn't complain or act like it was an issue at all, though it was obviously inconvenient - and they were still done before the original estimated timetable. In addition, they also painted the inside of the closets (and even some of the shelves), which was not in the original contract, and, again, we weren't charged any more for that service. It was the little things like that which really made a difference. We have cathedral ceilings in our house, and they did a beautiful job on everything. Even after living in the house for over a month, I still haven't found any mistakes. <br /> <br /> I thought the price was high at first, but I had a second estimate, and the second painter estimated the same price but wasn't as professional, so I went with Bobby. We don't regret it at all, and now I realize how much work was involved in the job and I know the money was very well spent. I can't say enough good things about the company! (The reason I gave a and quot;Band quot; for the Responsiveness category is that email wasn't the most efficient way to get in contact with them - but Bobby always answered his cell phone.) An added bonus - Bobby took a few minutes out of a job later on to give me a recommendation on an electrician, since we're new to the area. We would definitely use them again!"
