"Larry and Tim did an excellent job. Arrived on time. Covered all of the floors and furniture fully. Removed wall paintings and pictures. They do quality, professional work, the paint lines were clean and no runs or spills. They sanded and plastered some areas of the wall and ceiling requiring repair, and touched up nicks and chips in the trim paint. They are polite and friendly. They honored the quoted price and it beat all other quotes. High value! Professional work! Great price!"

"I phoned Tony on a Thursday evening for an estimate to paint the interior of  my vacant rental town house. My luck, he was familiar with the community where I own the town house, and, even better he had a opening to begin the next day. True to his words, he was able "knock out the work in 2 days". Not only Tony and his crew do a great paining job; they left the house cleaner than when they entered. <br />"

"My home had not been painted in years (7+). I thought it really needed exterior painting, particularly because two large columns that span two stories had paint that was starting to crack, etc. and also the bay window addition paint was in very bad condition (plus, the garage was definitely in need of some "TLC"). Paul was recommended to me by a coworker. Paul gave me a thorough, written estimate. (I was pleased that he stuck to the estimate. Not all contractors do that.) I signed the estimate and gave him a downpayment. In terms of payments, I gave him the first 1/3 to start, the second 1/3 in the middle, and the final 1/3 on completion. Paul accepts checks and cash for payments. He and his crew was always on time, hard working, and very skilled (they did a very neat job). They painted in very neat lines (nothing was messy at all). ... All in all, the house now just about looks brand new (it's an "older" home built around 1925). (The previous painter was not as skilled and the paint job didn't look at fresh. The previous painting made things difficult because it does not appear that the painter had done much in the way of priming the surface.) The neighbors like it (both in the front and in the back)."

"I'm a perfectionist and very detail-oriented.  So I have never been happy with work done by any of the painters I have used.  As a result, with the exception of the shutters, I have painted most of the items that I asked Keith to do. <br> <br>Being a true professional and meticulous about his work, Keith by far exceeded what I would have done myself!  The prep work he does is exceptional.  Everything is cleaned, sanded and caulked where needed.  This results in a paint job that looks like new. <br> <br>If you want to protect and properly maintain the wood surfaces on your house, then you should use Keith.  He is the only painter I will use in the future. <br> <br>Fair warning though, you will need to plan ahead.  I booked Keith a year in advance."

"Renaissance was highly recommended by our realtor.  We wanted to paint the interior of the home we recently purchased, before we moved in.  Jeff was very accommodating with our schedule and the work started the morning after we closed.  The crew worked diligently and finished on time, the day before we were scheduled to move in.  Jeff sent someone over to start the work over the first weekend and had a large crew there near the end of the work to meet our turnaround time.  We were really appreciative of these efforts, as I know Jeff and his team are very busy.   <br> <br>As for the work itself, we were extremely pleased.  The house was beautifully painted and it felt like we were in a different house after the work was complete.  Very quality work.    <br> <br>We also asked Jeff to come back and fix a section above a window where we had misplaced a curtain rod.  He sent someone over the very next day and did not charge for the work. <br>  <br>We did not get any other bids, given how highly recommended Jeff was, so I can't speak to how the cost stacks up to other providers.  I felt the price was fair and as this was an investment in our "forever home" we were willing to pay for quality work. <br> <br>We are planning to use Renaissance to paint the exterior of our home later this summer. <br>"

FAQs for exterior home or structure paint or stain projects in Slippery Rock, PA

Painting vinyl siding is a budget-friendly way to revive curb appeal without paying for new panels. As long as the boards aren’t warped, cracked, or leaking, a coat of high-quality acrylic paint can buy you another five to 10 years before replacement.

Stick to lighter shades so the siding doesn’t soak up excess heat, and prep the surface well for the paint to bond. If you’re seeing rot or moisture damage, skip the paint and plan for new siding instead.

High-quality acrylic paint is recommended for vinyl siding. Acrylic paint adheres firmly to vinyl surfaces and resists peeling and fading, providing a sleek and long-lasting finish. Ensure the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for optimal results. Your exterior painting pro has the expertise to properly prepare your siding’s surface to ensure proper adhesion.

Priming is not required if the vinyl siding remains in good condition and is properly cleaned. However, if the original color is severely faded or the panels have become porous, priming becomes essential. Priming provides a smooth, even base that improves paint adhesion and enhances durability, ensuring the acrylic finish adheres properly and lasts longer.

A paint sprayer is the quickest, most consistent way to coat vinyl siding. The fine mist reaches grooves a roller can miss and lays down an even layer in a fraction of the time. You’ll still need a brush for tight corners, but a sprayer slashes labor hours and reduces lap marks.

If you’re renting equipment, ask the supplier for a tip size made for exterior acrylics so the paint atomizes correctly and sticks to the siding.

Painted vinyl siding lasts between five and 10 years. The durability depends on the quality of the surface preparation and the local climate conditions. When the siding is thoroughly cleaned and prepped, and high-quality acrylic paint is used, the finish endures longer. In hotter regions, the lifespan may be closer to five years, while cooler climates help extend it.
