"I contacted Cal-Vintage Roofing about several roof issues. Marcus inspected my roof and gave me a detailed proposal (with photographs) of each problem area and a clear explanation of the plan to repair each issue. Ultimately, Cal-Vintage was able to get to my job earlier then promised and completed it in a timely and highly professional manner."

"My wonderful experience with Harlan Roofing began with calling the office and speaking with Brittany. It continued with meeting Mr. Crocker at my house. He was very generous in explaining what needs to be done and answering my questions. It appears the work by Moses and Francisco was done in professional manner. I thank everyone I came in contact with to get my roof repair done."

"I am very pleased with the quality of work. Two years ago, Jeff re-roofed our detached garage and replaced some siding, and made some repairs on the roof of the house. When I was ready to re-roof the house, it was a busy time for roofing. Jeff was able to fit my home in around another other job. Everything was done on time, and the property was kept neat and clean. I liked that Jeff checked the job to make sure it was done properly by his workers, coming back to finish a couple of things himself that I would not even be able to see. The cost was very reasonable, even when adding the additional dry rot repair and barge rafters replacements."

"We contacted Straightline Construction to replace our house’s skylight that had a large crack in it (previously plastic). Phil, the Project Manager, was extremely professional and measured our skylight for replacement. He provided us with multiple options, from a standard glass replacement to skylights with shades (manual or solar). We decided on the skylight with a solar shade. Straightline made the process extremely easy. We absolutely loved how it turned out, very high quality. The two person installation team did a great job and even installed the remote to open and close the shade in our kitchen. While installing the skylight they also sealed exposed nails and painted and resealed flashings. I highly recommend Straightline for your roofing needs. (I forgot to take before pictures of the inside of the old skylight. You could hardly see out of it and there was a large crack. Now we see clearly out of it.)"

"It went just as he said it would. They started on a Tuesday with a subcontractor doing the tear-off, then his crew got the new roof on in just a few days. He had another subcontractor install gutters the next week, and it took a couple more weeks of short-term work. Jim inspected the gutters and called the sub crew back in to finish things to Jim's satisfaction, then the County inspector found a couple more things. All in all it took a month, but the actual work took about a week. We got 4 bids, all from top-rated Angie's List contractors, and Jim's was the lowest by a few hundred dollars. We have no regrets with that decision. The bonus was that someone earlier on his schedule cancelled, so rather than having the work done in October or November, he did it in August. We are very happy with the whole process."

"We have been using Terrell to do work for us for the past 12 years - from large remodel jobs, to small plumbing & electrical jobs and have been very happy with the results. Terrell truly is a craftsman who can fix just about anything sometimes requiring creative problem solving in the process. The latest job he did for us was to straighten a 2000 lb. mail box column that was leaning at an increasing rate and in danger of tipping over because of a poor footing. Terrell came up with a creative engineering approach to support the mailbox while pouring a new footing. It involved a two stage process over two weekends and now the mail box is straight and secure. People stopped by continually during the process to admire his engineering. Our mail box column was saved and it looks just like we wanted with no damage to the slate facing. Terrill is very skilled in many areas of building and repair, he's hard working and communicates with you throughout the job. That, coupled with his high standards and his commitment to quality makes him an excellent choice for most any project. At times he can be quite busy, but we always try to wait till he's available, if we can. We trust him to do a quality job at a fair price. We highly recommend Terrell for any job you need done."

"I was selling my house and the buyer was required to get a 2 year roof certification on the roof in order to have their loan underwritten. They hired a roofing contractor to inspect the roof. They returned a report stating that the roof defective due to cracked tiles. The report also (erroneously) stated that the construction method used (Bartile) is obsolete, and that no roofer would even be able to repair it. Of course the inspector offered to replace the roof for $25k! I asked the buyer to give us a week to get a second opinion. I called several roofing companies who specialize in repairing tile roofs. I interviewed five of them seriously, and got estimates from three of them, including D&D. Both of the other bids I got were CONSIDERABLY higher, and neither of those other contractors would guarantee that they could match the broken tiles needing replaced. Then I had Dave Durica come out from D&D roofing. Dave is a VERY experienced roofer who is definitely "old school". He was very professional, and really listened to me when I told him I only wanted to have the broken tiles replaced, and get the 2 year certificate. Unlike the other contractors I spoke to, Dave understood that I am selling the house, and he did not try to upsell me on additional services. I really appreciated the fact that he understood my situation. Dave also said he would do his best to find identical or near-identical matching tiles from his "bone yard" provider. He warned me that this may not be cheap, but he was the only one willing to make the effort to get a match for a relatively small job. What impressed me the most is that Dave got the whole got staged, scheduled, and completed very quickly. He understood that we were in escrow at the time, and that time was of the essence. Once he got the necessary tiles, Dave was back out to the property and got the repair job completed in ONE DAY. This is much faster than the others had quoted me. Even better, he explained how so many tiles (50) had been broken by contractors who had walked on them incorrectly over time. After installing new windows, insulation, and siding with different contractors over the years, it's easy to see how this happened. But it also helps me give my buyer confidence that the roof was not defective, but just damaged. Dave actually provided me a THREE year certificate on the roof, which my buyer was delighted by. It's great to work with a reliable, small local company who does great work, charges very reasonable rates, and scopes the job to the need. Very refreshing... I would recommend D&D for future roof work to anyone, and I will definitely hire them again!"

"This is the second time we’ve used Joe and his team for a remodeling project. The first was a full kitchen relocation/remodel, restroom addition and restructuring the great room layout. This project was our master bath remodel, and his team member Daniel took the lead on the project. Per usual, Joe and Daniel didn’t disappoint! Attention to detail was phenomenal, professionalism was top notch, and the job was completed with permits to code. They gutted the entire bathroom, moved plumbing, moved ceiling heights, replaced a window, adding lighting, installed new vanities and fixtures and completed a full bathroom re-tile. It’s rare to find a great contractor, and one you would invite into your home for more projects time in and time again. Just be mindful that some projects may not be completed on time, but this is due to attention to detail, and Joe always making sure that every part of the job is completed to the highest standard. Thanks Joe and Daniel!! Great work, as always. See you for the next project!"
