"They were incredibly responsive during a very hard time. In the space of 4 days our home flooded (during a week when there were lots of homes flooding -- they had a foreman on site to take a look within 24 hours, when a competitor wouldn't have been able to even look at the problem for a month). In addition to our home flooding, our son was in a terrible accident and was in ICU for several days, and the hospital for 5+ weeks (he's still there as I write this). Some folks from our church called Justin at Western and asked if they could provide the labor and they could install the sump system to take care of the immediate flooding project. My wife and I weren't even there and between our awesome Church family and western they dug the trenches and installed a sump system to take care of the flooding issue. Western was super busy with the unprecedented flooding, but they worked with us. The second part of the project in preparing the foundation in a stairway to the basement hasn't been completed yet, but is scheduled, and I'm confident they'll do a great job with that too. I'll repost more info if I feel it is needed."

"After over two years of working on our plans, and getting some preliminary drawing done we had a great vision for our new back patio. We talked with numerous builders as we prepared to start our project. We met with Anthony, and looked at several of Straight Line’s previous projects. We marveled at how elegant their projects looked, so we chose to work with them. While we thought we had our project figured out, Anthony did suggest that we may make some adjustments during the course of the construction. He was absolutely correct as we choose to make several adjustments during the process. Everyone we worked with connected with Straight-line; Brad-owner, Anthony-project manager, Brant-lead carpenter, Wesley-concrete, Andre-Painter, Mike-electrician, were so helpful. All the workers we’re more than willing to accommodate our adjustments. Even more valuable for us was how frequently they lent their experienced eyes to suggest options that looked better than what we had originally planned. In the end our back patio looks truly spectacular. Our only frustration was that it was hard to stay on schedule. We realize a few weeks in delay will pale in comparison to a lifetime of backyard enjoyment in our new space. We can’t stop smiling when we walk out into our newly created patio space. We would highly recommend using this company for any outdoor project large or small. In fact even after completion of the work, and payment was made they have been willing to come out to do touch up work to assure everything looked exactly the way it should. When the guy came to cut the cement, he was very careful when cutting and gave suggestions for options to make it easier for us to actually break out the concrete after his cuts were done. "They did a couple of little things. We are in development and they are the prime builders for the whole development. They're custom nice homes and I'm very pleased. They listened to what we said we wanted adjusted. They clarified and did it just how we wanted it to be done. I would definitely use them in the future. They charged us $100,000 less on our house. I don't thing there is anything that we would have expected them to do differently. We were thoroughly pleased. I would use them again in future."

"The building was built, workmanship was good. <br /> The biggest problem was the absolute lack of communication. <br /> It would take days and sometimes as much as a week for them to return phone calls, emails or texts. <br /> After many complaints about this they finally assigned a new person to communicate with me. <br /> While she did communicate better than the first person, it would still take a long time to get an answer. <br /> The schedule was the biggest conflict. It appeared like they were building this as a hobby instead of getting someone out there on a daily basis. At times I thought that the job had been abandoned. <br /> The contract was approved in April of 2014, I was told that it would take 2 weeks to get a permit, due to their lack of communication it took months. There were some simple problems with getting survey dimensions, and as the contractor would not return the calls of the surveyor, just like not returning my calls, it dragged on into the summer. <br /> When they did start, they would work a few days, then disappear for a week or so, never letting me know when they would be back. <br /> problems occurred during the job, the holdowns were not installed per plan and the building department would not buy them off until it was re-engineered. The stairway was not built to code and they finally had the inspector declare it as "not habitable area" to buy it off. <br /> This was not a big concern of mine as the stairway was workable for me. <br /> They had told me that the garage would come with an automatic door opener, but as it was not written in the contract, they wanted to charge for it. I declined as with their track record it might have taken another few months to get it installed. <br /> After a lot of hounding they finally finished the job in December."
