He figured out an ingenious way to hoist the heavy door to the second floor, and very skillfully and quickly adjusted the frame to fit the door, and affixed the heavy-duty hinges. And for the first-floor door, he figured out a way to repair the existing frame (rather than replace it), thereby saving me hundreds of dollars. All the work was done to a very high standard by a skilled professional who worked quickly and efficiently. And the price-tag for all this was remarkably low -- only a third the price I'd been quoted by another local handyman firm. "I had about 6 contractors bid this job, Jim had the fairest price.  He arrived to the job early, even offered to come out in an ice storm  but I was concerned for his safety and rescheduled it.  An important point for me is Jim is licensed and insured.  The job was completed in 2 hours.  He initially came to my home to go over the scope of work and he stuck to his estimate.  Only disappointment was, I had to absorb $45 of additional cost when I discovered a scratch on the stainless steel grille plate.  I ordered the part from Samsung and will need to install it myself.  I called Jim and he said he did not observe this scratch on installation due to lots of hand prints on the unit.  He installed this unit by himself, under difficult circumstances, without a hydraulic lift to hold it in place, basically balancing it on one arm while he used an electronic screwdriver to mount the unit into the base cabinets.   I cannot determine if this noticeable scratch (just above the door handle and about an inch long) was a manufacturer's defect or had occurred upon installation. The cardboard box the unit came in from HH Gregg was in pristine condition.  Despite all this I have another job coming up for a bathroom remodel and plan to have Jim bid this project as well, along with 3 other contractors I thought had reasonable bids. <br />"
