"There was a message from them within 48 hours of my , and things seemed to go well with scheduling. But then we had trouble connecting to get an estimate for the entire job, and I felt like the estimator missed some key points. I was then on extended travel for 8 weeks (his office was polite in following up) but when I asked for a re-estimate, it took several tries and one rescheduling before Mike himself came out. He was very professional and courteous, but then he was a few days late in getting the revised estimate for several projects that he had promised "tomorrow" The estimate was much higher than previously estimated--this is just for the prior quoted work--and it seemed like they thought they could just get me for a huge order when I wanted to do this in stages as my budget could allow. At that point, I just felt that this was not going to ever be a good fit. I'm in the contract services business myself, and I make a point to connect with my clients so that we can establish a collaborative relationship. It just didn't happen with me and Silver Oaks. I was willing to postpone a decision on the first project because of some other budget issues, but by then I had gotten another quote that seemed attractive, and the estimator and I connected immediately. Still, I am delaying my project for a few more months and will do a little more research before selecting a service provider. In fairness, although I did not contract with Silver Oaks, I think they have the experience to do a fine job on gutter installation."

"Our house is 30+ years old and our upstairs bath tub began to leak at the drain so we were due for a tear out and complete remodel.  To start out, I want to say that this was probably the easiest and smoothest remodel I have ever been through and we owe it to Ivan and his crew.  We had the work performed during the Christmas/New Years holidays as this was a secondary bathroom so it was not a bother with the holidays in between work days.  

Prior to demo, Ivan and his crew came in and protected the stairway with a taped down covering.  The demo was a nasty mess as they carried large chunks of concreted tile down the stairs.  Uncovering the walls down to the studs revealed some builder shortcuts with piping and drains.  Ivan rebuilt everything the proper way and installed emergency cutoffs for me.  I also had him install them under the two vanities as that was the only bathroom that had not been worked on.  They also installed a new flange for the new toilet as the original was not up to par.  Ivan did not cut corners and tested and made sure everything was secure and leak free before closing up anything.  The work included installing brand new tub and tub and shower valves and faucets, new toilet, tiled tub surround, tiled floor, new faucets installed in two vanities with upgraded shutoff valves, leveling floor and installing new tile, reinstalling chair rail and baseboards, patching, texturizing and painting bath area and vanity area.  Ivan also made suggestions along the way and showed me a standard tub with a bowed front, which makes you feel like you are in a much larger tub.  Everybody loves it. He also make a suggestion about some decorative edging that I am very happy with it adding a bit more style.

Ivan and his crew have a wonderful work ethic.  They arrived on time and worked late and the guys worked non-stop. They were courteous and a pleasure to deal with.  They cleaned up every evening before leaving even though sometimes I told them to just leave it because I knew they were tired, but his crew always insisted and even vacuumed down the stairs.

The bathroom is beautiful and guests have enjoyed the spa like feel, but most of all, I feel secure with the work that was done.
